Sorry to hear the finances aren't going so well mate. Basically you have two options at this point 1) Let the club go and come back as a new side in division 5 or 2) Fire all around you and let the finances build back up. If its me, I'm going with the second option as having to start all over again would be a pain and I probably wouldn't stick at it.

But your situation is salvageable. You can try sell your best players/higher earners, which would not only fetch a few quid but also cut your wages dramatically. If you have any promising young players advertise them and you could receive a nice pay day for it.

Alternatively, if your willing to put the time in, do what Rocky did and buy high quality players for cheap and then cut them on Tuesday before the economic update. This will still make you competitive in your division while still allowing you to save money.

If you are spending any money on the nutritional centre, then sell it, as its useless in this game. Also, if if you feel the need, sell any facilities (training hall, youth academy, fitness centre) along with firing coaches/doctors. They can all be bought back when things are looking better.

In your division, your unlucky that there are 8 human sides, which means someone will get relegated and if you sell your best players your going to be at risk. Personally, I'd take relegation and rebuild, but having only gained promotion, you might not want to do that. I think though one of those sides is going to BOT at some point (Mudbugs or Seacold) so you still might be able to clean house and stay up.

I hope you survive mate and if you want to chat further let me know.

Never give up hope. Always take the relegation if comes to it. With your opening win im 95% certain you will stay up. Put all top earners on market for around 10 000. If they don't sell fire them but only you have played this weeks games. Fire any staff, sell any construction and then sell stadium if you have to. Like emerald said there is always a way to stay competitive. Hope you make it. I think you will.

Fáilte ar ais Steve!!!

I'm still around (barely!)

Thought about going bot as my finances are in a mess and I've been neglecting my team but I'm going to stick around.

A new engine would be nice though...

Anyway welcome back!

Nice to see you hanging around. I'm still not sure I understand your approach to keep going though. I see you still have some pretty big salaries on your roster. If it were me I would be dropping anyone over $5k-$10k per week salary even if I had to add a few cheap players. The idea being slash your expenses completely. Start rebuilding with young talent. You maybe drop to div IV or maybe even possibly V but you don't drop to the complete bottom on your rebuild. I think you are going to get stuck in no mans land here by not having enough talent to win and not slashing expenses enough to build up a solid bankroll and enough talent growing together to advance.

The guys I'm selling are replaceable I already have talented youths in those positions to just swap them if it doesnt work and I relegate then I'll be looking to stock pile cash for awhile and rebuild but I rather it this way or I might lose interest in the game

And we have lost Carrickfergus Knights. Looks to be from finances and right after I had finished checking up on their Irish players.

Another sad loss. I enoyed our early bidding wars and chats.
