Hi Sam

The normal thing is to wait until Wednesday.

Once we have a confirmed list of participants, I'll figure out what format to use, do the draw for the cup and publish the fixtures in the community so you can challenge your opponent.

Not to worry, Emeraldfin. No more news on the new engine yet either...

I was hoping they'd announce it after today's friendlies. I'll still try to start this off next Monday.

Grand so I'll wait till Wednesday just wanted to make sure before getting a friendly sorted wasn't sure if it was done some special way on a different day to a normal freindly.

oooooo just a thought how about champions league format get everyone a few games in it 3 groups of 4. play each team once. Top 2 from each with 3rd place play-off's to make 1/4 finals. etc.. it's a lot I know but sorts out friendlies for a good while for most.

Hi Sam,

The reason I was thinking of single elimination was to get it played quickly as players might be involved in other Friendly Cups... but I am open to suggestion and a round-robin group stage followed by knockouts a la Champions League or Heineken Cup could work too.

Does anyone have any preference?

I'd go with camp. league format if there are no objections and no one else has commitments in no hurry here
