Pretty sure you're gonna reap the rewards in the seasons to come with the way you've built up your stadium Sean

Week Five Results
Group A
Celbridge Celtics (tearmanneanna) 35-42 Western Cowboys (thedonfergaloni)
Ireland's Team (coach) 7-52 Dublin Dragons (Sam Kidd)
Gang Green (Celt67) Idle

Group B
Carrickfergus Knights (Doc Charante) 63-7 newcastle west (seanand)
Dirreenaling (donal) 28-34 Carlow Crusaders (Emeraldfin)
Captain Morgans (gorshell) Idle

The Western Cowboys survived a second half rally by the Celtics in Group A as Sam's Dublin Dragons beat Ireland's Team. In Group B, Carrickfergus Knights did all they could to secure second spot and a shot at Gang Green in the playoffs but they were undone by the Crusaders' heroics. Carlow - possibly inspired by the county's Gaelic Football team's performance against Meath yesterday - scored on the last play of regulation to tie the game up and then went on to beat Dirreenaling in the first OT of the Emerald Bowl season.

Final Group Standings and playoff fixtures to follow...

Funny how things work out alright. Very lucky to get away with a win in that one and credit to Carrickfergus who pushed us all the way.

The reward however isn't the most appealing one though, with an away tie to Celt and Gang Green.

One thing I will say is that this has proved to have been a very successful cup so far, with many close games and a few upsets.

Well done to the top 4 guys, group B has been fun and I'd say the top 2 deserve it.
Hopefully we get Emerald Bowl 2!

Good work on the cup comp, should definitely run it again. Hopefully a few more Irish teams can join up and get involved?

Hi guys.

I just posted in another thread - I will organise Emerald Bowl II - after a couple of weeks off. I'll be on holidays in early July but will get something started when I get back. I might PM some of the other Irish coaches before we start to get as many involved as possible - the more the merrier!
