So with three weeks remaining for this season, we don't have as many teams battling for promotion as we did last season, but there are still a few.

Dirreenaling is in a very strong position to be promoted to Div 2. With a favorable run in, their big test will come against second placed Northern Hemisphere Icecaps. Dirreenaling however are one game up on the Icecaps with a far superior points differential.

Seanand and Newcastle West are also looking good and are leading by one game. However their run in is tricky, as they play against three human sides, including the second placed side who they have a similar points difference to.

Ireland's team are looking very strong at the moment, leading by two games in their division with a perfect record so far. Coach's boys have swept all opposition so far and can wrap up the division next week with a win over third placed Mallorca Talayotes. A loss opens things up more as they still have to play the team in second.

Waterford Midshipmen are in a similar situation to Ireland's team and can wrap up the division next week, having swept the division so far this seasons. A loss though will muddy things as they are only one game up with a similar PD to the team in second.

The Raiders are also dead even at the top after a huge win today against the top side. With the top team having a slightly better PD, the Raiders will have to work hard to reel them back in and gain promotion.

Captain Morgans are also in with a chance of promotion to Div 2, as they are one game behind the team at the top. They still have to play the team on top and with a similar PD, they are still in with a good chance of promotion.

The Gloucester Boars are now in with a great chance of promotion after the team on top went BOT. With both being 14-1, the Boars now look clear favorites to grap promotion.

UL Vikings are still in with a shout also of gaining promotion, as they are level at 14-1 with first placed Penzance Pirates. However with an inferior PD and still to play the only other human team in the league, the Vikings have a lot to do in order to gain promotion.

For Celbridge Celtics, Gang Green, Carlow Crusaders, Western Cowboys, Carrickfergus Knights, Dublin Heros and Prospect Pumas its middle of the road for all these sides and will be looking to next season.

Sadly for Sam and his Dublin Dragons, relegation was confirmed today with a defeat to Sec Porri. To Sam's credit, that division is hugely competitive and strong, making it very difficult for a newly promoted side to stay there. One thing is for certain, the Dragons are not a side I would fancy playing in Div 4 next season.

great write up dude, just made me realise im only 46 points ahead , with 1 human and 2 bots to play for both of us its gonna be close especially considering he put up 112 a few weeks back, a win next week and two solid 60-70 point games should see me through, this is going to the last game of the season.

oh and fair play on getting to the WC, no easy task beating two top 15 seeds with the 30th ranked team

Nice write up Emeraldfin. As you said i'm still in contention for promotion. I'm hoping i can make up the pts difference in the last 3 games. Fingers crossed.
