Makes more sense now

But in your league, you faced 18 TD teams.

Which is easier? Facing 5 max TD teams or facing 18?

I get what you are saying. But I don't think the cup is any more difficult than league. You end up facing the same TD teams in both comps.

Well, the biggest difference is that the cup is 1 and done. League play is not 1 and done, in fact the winner of the TD is generally anywhere from 2 to 5 losses. If you factor in that over the last few seasons, anywhere from 1 to 3 teams have been bot, now you are lowering the league games that matter down to 12-16 games. Again, they are not 1 and done even then. Let's just agree that they should be of similar value when reviewing a teams overall worthiness for the HoF. The bigger consideration is making adjustments due to what region you compete in and of course giving much bigger weight to making it to the IB finals

Don't get me wrong, I'm agreeing to disagree. I still think the cups are harder and it is because they are 1 and done and also random in who you face. I faced Hakers one season I think it was round 3 or 4. Also, you just don't see many teams with 3 or more cups in the really tough regions. There's your 1 and done results. Imagine if after every league loss you were relegated. Anyway, I have compromised because in the end, neither of them are easy accomplishments. But IB finals are the ultimate goal of every GI team (or should be). This is where the Grizzly's have separated themselves as perhaps the best ever (in my opinion they are at least in the top 3). 5 trips to the coveted finals is really amazing from where they have to qualify season in and season out. I think my top 3 list would have to be Serrie, Jean Marc and either Steve (Blitz) or Haker for the final spot and let's just say in no particular order

My Cup title came in the following way -

Jinx CB had a stam 20 day and cats beat them in the qtrs. Kamikaze then beat cats for me and then I beat kamikaze. I have had the wood on kamikaze for a few seasons, cats have been a real nemesis for me until recently and the Jinx have lived up to their name in my direction in particular.

i.e. my cup title was very lucky this season - the only team I played that I wasn't expected to beat was in the final.

Btw, the IB is the final of the AFLC.

Yes, you are right, but I did qualify that

As for the luck, you need that for the cup runs for sure. But don't act like your team isn't worthy of it. The cup discards good teams and spits them out every season..... there is no room for error. Your team survived and won, but in league play, both those teams were still alive after one loss and look what happened. One of them won that.

Looking forward to seeing you in the AFLC, wish you still had Rosas playing for you.

Might as well edit that last one now before the editing starts, lol. Okay, there was a margin of error in your TD this past season of 2 games in league play, as you were in 2nd with 3 losses. There is no such margin of error in cup play

Oh and reason #24: the RC trophy is on the top shelf in the display case, just to the right of the IB trophy. Although this entire discussion makes an interesting case for giving the runner up an IB runner up trophy

Yeah, I was thinking that the other day - they could have the IB cup half greyed out and note that the manager was r/u.

Maybe same for TD and RC, esp RC?
