I would also like to put forth another idea.

If there are 2 teams with the same record, but Team A has already beaten Team B 2 times in that season, Team A should be above Team B. It is a bit ridiculous to have a team that has lost 2 times to the other team, somehow be above them in rank when they have the same record. Same rules apply if both teams have only played each other once. I would also like to see some form of this implemented into the world cup brackets as well.

I wouldn't say it was 'ridiculous'. It's just that in the event of a tie, your performance against all teams is being considered rather than just against the team you're tying with. You could easily argue that's actually a better measure of how deserving a team is to finish higher in the standings, rather than just how they played in one or two specific games.

In case of equal W's (and thereby L's) it's the point difference. If that is equal.... "No one knows"

Maybe it's because I grew up with NFL rules, but it just makes more sense to me with the idea I provided. At the end of the day its a positional battle. You are fighting for, lets say 3rd place, that week. You wouldn't compare your stats to the stats of the first ranked or last ranked team to determine if you should be above the team who has the same record as you. You would determine if you should have 3rd or 4th place with the team that is tied with you. Thats part of the reason I believe tie braker games as I outlined makes more sense.

But I also understand that this is all secondary anyway. Any ideas like this one would be low priority and all the bugs and improvements come first.

I believe it's most TD's next, but I don't know of any situation where this has actually been used to confirm.
