I needed a depth chart in the spreadsheet tools. The default template didn't contain one, so I created it.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1weUM26F8B8p2gemZC5KUS05Beu_ADxb__YWP-IXRML0/edit?usp=sharing

Feel free to add it to the default template (whoever is managing it).

Do you mean how do you download the spreadsheet of player skills from your club's list of players? If so unfortunately you can't.

Thanks, that's exactly what I meant. I've been looking for some way to export as csv or other format but couldnt find one. It's strange that there is no such facility.

There used to be a way to do this with monkey scripts. I used to download it every week. Unfortunately this type of programming is over my head. Perhaps someone here can do something like that for the community

They're called userscripts and run via the Greasemonkey extension for Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Vivaldi. They're a pain in the a$$ to code, and extremely hard to implement for the type of coding used on this site.

Something tells me the "revamped" interface which made it harder to use userscripts was done on purpose to kill the first wave of userscripts that worked on the first versions of the site. My employer does the same thing. Every 2-3 months changes the site's layout to prevent scraping and userscripts.

Will I be able to use these spreadsheets effectively to track my players stats even if I'm not supporter?

Hi,

Yes you can still use these spreadsheets as a non supporter but you might want to modify the Team Tracker spreadsheet slightly to effectively track your player's speed and strength.

One of the most useful features of a supporter account is that you receive a weekly training report which details which players have increased in which skill. As a non-supporter it's relatively easy (although a bit time consuming) to look at each player's page to see if they have increase in any skill.

However it is a bit more tricky with regard to a player's physicals as speed and strength have hidden caps (maximum value) which are different for every player. The only way you can effectively track whether a player has capped in either speed or strength is by working out how many training points they get each week and monitoring whether their speed/strength increases or not within a given timescale e.g.

It takes 100 training points in a particular skill for a player to increase that skill by 1 point. Players receive between 8-12 training as standard each week (the actual amount each week is random) plus they get their teamwork divided by 2. Players can also get additional training points from coaches and facilities but as you're a new user you shouldn't have any yet so we'll ignore these for the purpose of this example.

Player A has teamwork 20, his speed is 8 and his strength is 10.

In order to track the physicals we have to assume that they start at 8.00 and 10.00 (supporter accounts also show the decimal places of skills).

Player A will gain 18-22 training points per week.

If Player A is trained in fitness/speed (this is known as focused training) then 75% of his training points will go towards speed. This means the minimum amount of training points that go towards speed per week are 13.5(14 if training points are actually rounded up each week). This tells us that it will take a maximum of 8 weeks to increase 1 skill point in speed.

Therefore if after 8 weeks the player's speed has not increased then the assumption would be that he has capped in this skill.

This is why you might want to modify the spreadsheet slightly to enable you to track these weeks.

Long answer but hopefully that helps

I started GI just over a month ago and did a spreadsheet to work out the cost and revenue for stadium construction. This spreadsheet is probably of more use to new players as once you get to 13,500 then all you do is add seats and it then becomes a simple progression. It also gives new players an easy look at just how much more money a modest stadium will generate.

I hope this spreadsheet is accurate, any constructive comments are welcome. As I've worked on it it's all obvious to me. Not sure if it is so obvious to someone else.

Hello, played many years ago and then stopped because lack of Estonian managers. So Right now started again.
My question is, that is there a spreadsheet or something so I can put in my players skills and it will show me ratings for different positions where the player fits the best?
