It was 10 at the last count, that was when I was scouting for the NT squad a while back. I've got a feeling its probably less now as some of them were quite new at the time and may well have gone bot since.

New Zealand have never had the numbers. They were allowed in as the had 2 long serving managers with full teams when the WC was first introduced to us.

I know newer countries have been given NT status, so does that mean some countries have lost NT status over the seasons?

Some countries should have, but doubtful anyone/dev wants to go that way. OR are bother to make change.

Looks at New Zealand for example. Next to no teams/managers. Just about every player on New Zealand roster is from a defunct NZ bot team. And no one that even wants to coach their own national side.

Yeah lots of NZ's NT players are on bot teams but only 1 (a back up TE) is on an actual NZ bot team.

There are quite a few young NZ players scattered around different divisions, none of them were ready for this cycle and it will depend on their talent and if their owners stay active as to whether they can make the NT in the future.

Yeah the last big NZ team to go went bot due to finances, and he was selling all his players to try to stay afloat. But you know what rookie teams do when the see a 18 skill player for $1K do dont you? Bid and win. Then go bot 3 weeks later also.

If you are tempted, have a look back through the Oceania TD for teams like Dunedin Huskies, Auckland Raiders and Shaky Islanders. All prime examples of big NZ powerhouses. Just haven't had anything similar from NZ in 5-7 seasons.
