So now the Pats are worse than the Jags, Raiders, Titans, Bucs, Jets, Browns and Rams? To name just a few.

Yes.

Obviously i'm massively bias but I think Brady will win 1 more superbowl ring before he retires (admittedly it might not be this season!).

Got to disagree with your rose-tinted bias on that one. There's too much that needs fixing at the moment before they're real contenders and I don't think it'll be within Brady's limited playing time. I think they're a long way from being rubbish, but not what they used to be.

I wouldn't be surprised if they make it to the play-off over the next 3 seasons, but without decent receivers or any credible running game, they are looking pretty bad. I would not count them out, Brady is still a great QB and they have good coaching, but some changes are needed and soon. Playoffs, good chance, super bowl, not likely. Receivers breaking off runs or making poor runs seem to be the issue. Wallace has always been suspect and Amedola would only look good if there were at least 2 other really good options, so he could have his way in the open field. They can't seem to keep RB's in New England very long. Gronk is gonna continue to get hammered with double coverage all over the kingdom and in my opinion, he is going to battle injuries the rest of his career. The NFL is brutal..........this is likely to end up like BF in Green Bay, though I don't see Brady moving to another team

Wallace? I don't remember us signing him.

The problem seems to be a reluctance on Brady's part to pass to a receiver not called Edelman or Gronk (though he did include LaFell a little more on Monday).

Certainly the Patriots don't look a good team at the moment, with a poor O-line, sputtering O and a D that got killed by its first real test (but, hey, apart from that it's all good as Gostkowski and Slater are playing really well on Special Teams!) Sunday night could be a bloodbath the way it's going but if any coach can turn it around, you'd think it was BB.

The Patriots done??!

Honestly, they'll still probably win the division. That's how bad that division is. Lol.

The Patriots could go 9-7 and win that division. I know they have holes obviously, but I still guarantee that the Pats win at least 8 games. It was ONE game. When the Packers got run out of the building last week, people said the same things. Then this week we destroyed the Bears and we look great. You never know

The Packers seem to always knock any hope out of the Bears and the Pats will turn it around, but I don't see them much more than a play-off team at best. Just like any well coached team, don't count them out

there is no way the pats win the division. almost every team in the division has a top 10 pass rush and guess what is the weakest spot on the pats? the pass protection. brady will get familiar with the turf this season. honestly it cant all be put on brady, everyone gets older. but belichek failed him. look at how denver has their roster. they are aware that peyton isnt young like andrew luck. they are putting pieces around him to win. they are making his job as easy as possible for him and he is returning the favor. the pats on the other hand need brady to carry the team like when he had a before everything gronk and a randy moss. they have no first round starters. thats bad. revis is looking mortal. if big changes dont happen very soon its over. i expect them to maybe win 2 division games this season and miss the playoffs.

The Jets are undefeated in the conference, unlike the other 3!!

Vick to start soon and rally the Jets to the AFC East...!!

I for one think the Patriots will make the playoffs (like Phiba, I may be a little biased). Those who follow them closely know that the Patriots' slow start has been aided by a couple of things, which are:

1. The O-line. Yes, it's terrible. Dante Scarnecchia's departure was probably the biggest loss of the offseason. But the hope is that it'll get better, once the linesmen adjust to their new coach.
2. Tom Brady's calf injury. He says it's fine. He's playing. The way he's playing, it really doesn't look like he's fine. As Brady heals up (it would probably help if the O-line minimized sacks), he'll get back to form. The arm he used to have isn't there anymore, so Brady won't be throwing too many deep passes, but he's still extremely efficient at short and medium range.

Basically, once the O-line gets a bit less terrible and Tom Brady heals up, I think the Patriots can easily go 7-5 the rest of the way. 8-4 is still very possible, and even 9-3 wouldn't be too much of a stretch if the O-line improves significantly as the players get used to their new coach. A bit of regression to the mean and the Patriots will be fine. Do I think they'll win the super bowl? Probably not. But they still have the ability to make the playoffs, and after that anything can happen.

The Pats have had an interesting season so far..... but I can kind of agree with the fact that they aren't that good. The loss of Wes Welker 2 years ago really set the team up for offensive struggles. If the Pats had went and traded for Fitz last year, thing would be going smoother and better. The o-line is not doing great, as you had said, but also I think that Vereen needs to be a bigger part of the offence as a receiving back, and with the amount of touches that Ridley is getting, whether it's outside or inside, with his talent, he should be getting at least 4-6 ypc. The offense also need to get Danny Amendola more involved than he is. Plus, that Logan Mankins trade for Tim Wright in the preseason, where is Wright? He's not involved, LaFell is starting to be more involved, and Thompkins needs to be able to do what he can when it goes to him. Brady needs to releize that he has what he has and not to complain. I'm not even gonna start with the defense.........

You are a mad man

Are they a super bowl contender? No, not even top 5 in the AFC probably. But I honestly think you're forgetting this: They've won 10 of the last 11 division titles! And they haven't ever lost more than 6 games in that time! You honestly think with having 4 games against the Jets and Bills and another against the inconsistent Dolphins that they only win 2 in the division??

Let's get real. It was ONE game. By that logic, the Packers should have been written off on winning the division after week 1. I don't see anyone else besides the Pats even touching 10 wins in the AFC East. So if they get 9 wins or more, they're probably in the Playoffs.
