Outdoor stadium at night under lights as well.

The way a gridiron ball moves through the air with a punt can be quite a bit different to a league ball also. A league ball is generally more consistent.

I saw this coming after his first pre season game though tbh. Not sure it was deliberate on this occasion, but short, high punts to someone allergic to fair catches is a no brainer. He better get the fair catch procedure down pat, and fast!

Exactly. Other than the piss poor QB's that seem to float about the NFL, year after year, the worst player in the NFL would generally be a 1st team all conference in just about any collegiate conference

Guess who'd be putting a huge ? over their decision to abandon the NRL and go to the NFL right now? I'll bet Hayne wishes he was a part of that Grand Final.

Best GF ever - probably the best sporting contest I've ever seen! It was like someone wrote the script for a movie! Forget last seasons SB - this game was incredible.

Well done to the Cowboys and the North Queenslanders.

I don't think I've ever been so riveted to a sporting contest over the last 10mins of that game - awesome!

Agreed - that finish was something else. Try after the siren was unbelievable. The pressure on Thurston with that sideline conversion - holy crap! You've got to feel for that Bronco that dropped the kickoff in OT. He single-handedly ruined Bennett's perfect GF record...

Hayne wouldn't have missed much if he were still in the NRL - he'd still be playing for Parramatta and his season would have ended in August as always

Did not even watch the GF. Was too busy outside working in the heat gardening. TBH it did not interest me one bit. NOW 7am this morning will be the game to watch... 49ers v Packers.

3 hours, a 17-3 scoreline, another Jarryd Hayne fumble and more inept 49ers offense later... Broncos vs Vikings would have been much better to watch. Why do you have to broadcast every 49ers game 7mate, damn Jarryd Hayne

Amazing GF last night though. Thurston is a God. I also have no regrets for wearing my Titans jersey the whole time.

Only reason I was watching that game... I'm a packers fan. lol! Was very disappointed with the result as I thought Packers had more to offer, but.... that is the way the ball bounces.

That and this is a Jarryd Hayne thread and I'm an Aussie.

Hayne's fumble really wasn't his fault. His blocker backed into him at the same time the ball hit his hands.

49ers only have them selves to blame for their current situation. Alex Smith is a much better QB than Kap.

I think Hayne will get a lot more touches towards the back end of the season. 49ers aren't gonna get more than five wins this season, and at 3-9, the last four games will be trials just like the preseason games.

Hear hear!

More like damn bandwagoners. Only a matter of time until blue and gold 49ers jerseys become available...

I really wish they would provide for them a delayed Hayne highlights package, so they could put the real games back in the live slot.

It's an ideal situation for 7 really. They often put on garbage games because, I assume, they cost less. So the 49ers doing so poorly is a dream come true for them!
