Really frustrated with the result yesterday as I see Slovenia as pretty tough opponent. Well done to Argentina I suppose...

As I suspected Slovenia were more slippery than a slippery thing on a slide... Well done to them and now the work starts to qualify from the group.

Great win for the UK and a very pleased coach. Really going to be tight in this table...

Got back to winning today against a tough Argentine unit. Need to beat Slovenia to make the playoffs next week (unless Finland win with blowouts in consecutive matches).

Still incredibly tight...

Having beaten Slovenia, Finland need to beat Argentina by 29 points to claim the 2nd qualifying spot. Nail biting finish coming up...

Is it a staight knock out set up now with 16 teams and are the group winners seeded so they cannot play each other in the next round?

Thanks for the comment, it has been a really tight group, so pleased to progress.

No, you now go into 4 groups of 4 and play each team once in a round robin with the top 2 going to knock outs. Those 3 games are generally played in 3-5 days so you need to be fairly switched on so you don't bot any games as one bot score and you're done for basically.

Don't think there are any specific seedings for these group games but after that the same people always play each other in the knockouts. Don't remember what it is off the top of my head but it's something similar to real life in the football WC etc where the winner of A will play runner up from B etc
