Indeed, my team is in rebuilding mode, but I do have a QB you might be interested in coming up maybe 2-3 more seasons

Best ever way to find out I got elected, looking through national team players, and suddenly their stats start appearing and I'm like, 'Hang on, that guy's not on the market...'

Thank you once again for your votes. I only hope I can improve on my average performance in this role.

So I've had a very exciting evening, calling up and dropping players, then calling up more of them and so on. Found some real gems in the wilderness, although as I'm searching manually rather than using any kind of data scraping, I'm sure I've missed absolutely loads of them.

In the QB position, I've called up the two young guns, McGilveray and Houghton. These are probably going to be future stars rather than for this season, and McMillan will probably be the go-to man for that role.

For WR the most interesting addition is Zach Jamieson, who was hiding in division 2 in Central Europe. I have a real dilemna at this position now, as there are four quality players vying to two starting places.

At TE I've dropped a few of the declining older players, and brought in Ben Hornett and Dylan Needham. Menmuir is still the best we have in that role by miles though.

At LB we have a trio of greats living in Italy; Turner, Barratt, and Watton. The veteran Gordon Parkes is no slouch either if he's needed, although I'd rather use him as a DE. The gunner, Bobby Jo Pullin, provides good cover for this position too.

At CB I bumped into a fine lad by the name of Brandon Lee Burns. He will contest for the starting role with veterans Blackburn and Brind.

We have two superb safeties, Bull and Howell, who will contest for that ever-vital central strong safety position. Bull can cornerback and lineback if he gets bored though.

Some tweaks to the linemen positions too, with the prodigious Gregor Wright joined by the amazing Zack Chamberlain, who will hopefully be our DE pair for many years to come.

Special teams is covered nicely by dual-trained cornerbacks and running backs now, which should make for some really good performances there too.

All in all, very pleased with our prospects at the moment. Just wish John James George had lasted one more season before Lillewhites II went bot, but we should be well sorted in that role in a season or two.

Anyone else who has a player they think really ought to be in, please let me know their stats, and I'll weigh it up.

Been scanning through the Youth Players thread for posts by Brit managers back in 2014 and 2015. Just amazing how many potentially great players end up on bot teams, with managers who don't know how to train, or just disappearing.

In your opinion, would it be better if players on teams that go bot were immediately put on the transfer list ? Or are national teams too dependent on those 32-40 yr old's on bot teams whose physicals don't drop ?

Personally I think it would be better for bot teams players to immediately hit the transfer market, being replaced by a basic squad .... but then again, I don't have the worries of being a national team manager

Oh, I'd rather players on bot teams aged and retired in the same manner as other players too, but I'd be a fool to ignore them. For some positions like kickers, international standard players are unsustainable for most teams, so they end up in newbie teams that turn to bots quite often. Also, if someone ends up on a bot team just before they start to decline it's absolutely priceless for the National Team.

The team as a whole is at a similar level to the one that won four world cups in a row, although the rest of the game has caught up a bit since then. Pretty much 5* BPos across the board and some pretty awesome new players in there. USA and Italy look pretty stacked out too, so it's going to be a splendid world cup all round.

First games in our group have finished. We are on the sidelines this week.

Switzerland, even though they've lost to Norway in their opening game, posted a very strong team. They'll probably be our main rivals here.

We have a nice 'easy start' against Venezuela next week, although they put up a good fight against Austria and should not be underestimated.
