Here is my other idea:

There would be a dopping centre, where you can grow your player's capped speed or strength.
The dopping centre would have levels, for example:
level 1: +1 speed or strength
level 2: +2 speed or strength
etc...
But the level of speed/strengh can't be higher than 20.

The disadvantage of the dopping centre is:
There would be inspectors who check if the players use dopping. The level of the dopping centre influence the success of the inspectors (the higher the centre, the lower the chance of the inspectors' success).
But if the player "fails" the dopping test, there will be money penalty or the player can't play for X weeks.

I don't know where to start ..... .... let's try with this .....

Don't you think that you should drop that Vince Lombardi quote from the bottom of your posts when you are suggesting a Doping center (CHEATING CENTER) ??!!
(Not suggesting that you are cheating but simply that doping is cheating )

It's outrageous, indeed

I am all for this. But only after they fix the tackles counted in stats for pass plays, more sacks and more intercepts.

Oh c'mon man... in the NFL, but in every professional sport in the whole world, everybody use doping.
It's an open secret.
Yes, doping is cheating, but everybody use this cheating

It is just an idea to make the game better (or more varied)

In the game you don't need to use, just if you want.

Maybe where you're from Doping is acceptable.
But what a naive, bordering on silly, comment to make that every single sportsman/athlete in the world is doping. You really believe this nonsense ??!!
Your comments suggest that doping is an acceptable practice in your Country and by your standards .... and you attempt to justify it by convincing yourself that everyone else on earth is doing it.

Each to their own I guess.

In your country, when is celebrated the Fool's Day? Is it April 1st or today?
