It's only fair. Running game is horribly OP.

Make INT/CON/Defense great again.

The running game now is at least equivalent to what the Darkwing offense was at one time. In fact it might be even more powerful since there is no possibility of turnovers in the running game.

The biggest difference I see between the the Darkwing before and the running game now is that at least with the Darkwing you had an option. Stack high skilled CB/SF/LB on the darkwing side and you at least had a chance.

With the runing game there doesn't appear to be an equivalent defensive counter available.

You can darkwing a defense in a similar fashion, I.E. all OLB and CB play the same so therefore one CB on a side will cover multiple receivers on that side.

Stopping the run though will be quite something, you will need to stop the initial block by the O-line, if unable to then stop the block by the FB, other than that you just got gouged by a long run. Stacking the D-line and MLBs will do nothing, so possibly darkwinging the line and LB's is worth a shot. Had 700+ yards allowed against the rush 2 matches ago, nothing to lose against the run at this point for me.

To me playing a large amount of players on the line to stop the run makes no sense, it's like overloading the side of the field to defense against one receiver, just doesn't work.

Try Gridiron3 or RZA, it's all there.

Something about RZA just didn't grab me and I lost interest. Likely would have been the other way around if I had started RZA then came here though.

First thought Gridiron 3 was the V3 version of GI and was just a bit disappointed it wasn't. Haven't tried it yet.

Absolute agree. practically you can do nothing against the running game.

I dont think one can do anything to stop any particular play. No double teaming possible. Passing game can beat you equally without having a great answer either. This game seems to be best players clashing, and in game tactics playing little role at the outcome.

What about increasing the weight of the variable related to tactical choice? I think THAT might be something for developers. I mean more fair request that could help the underlying issue here.

Many people wrote it, and it's a good idea too, but this way https://grid-iron.org/community/viewt/22666 can be solve this problem a little bit too.
