We were set to play for the DII.2 title Saturday, so I sent him a good luck message. He replied earlier today saying that he'd been in the red most of the season and felt like he should have gone bot already. About 6 hours later, it looks like the economy update finally got him.

He didn't say if he'd start over or not. I hope so.

Went bot financially with 14 players earning over 82k and another 2 over 70k

Sympathy = none

This situation could easily have been fixed

He did a lot to make the game more interesting for those of us in NA for a long time. Whether he could have prevented it or not, it's sad to see him go.

I remember him saying early in the season that he would likely go bot this season, and that he wasn't going to sell off his team to prevent it. He gave me some good advice and tips when I first joined. I am sad to see him go.

I too believe he chose to sell off his young talent with the plan to go bot with his more developed players on his roster.

Dang. This is a HUGE loss for this game.
Reaus did a lot for the GI community over the years.
It really feels like GI is dying a slow death.
