Hello GI Community!

I have a question here:

Why does everyone who plays 100% passing game use HB/C and FB/C, instead of 2 Full Backs (FB/R and FB/L).

Because FB should have more Blocking, more STR and BMI... And the point is to protect the QB.

Thank you ^^;

Hello!

In the past, there was an update that allowed FBs (left and right) to receive passes. FBs in the middle, on the other hand, do not receive passes. Passes on WR and TE are much more effective (more predictable).

That's the whole secret behind it.

What am I looking at here? Is that for real, no CBs and the passing game completely shut down???

This hole game is completely nonsense

Wow. What a crock of garbage.
The current "Top" team in North America is demonstrating how broken this game is. Doesn't even play a CB or FS. I don't even know how that is permitted.

This is the definition of using glitches to your advantage.

Wow.

No, nothing new under the sun, many teams play with similar defensive formations, but everything depends on the roster available.
For me, it would be to force any team to put a formation with at least 1 CB/L, 1 CB/R, 1 LBO/L etc.
But who knows if Melderon will ever have thought of it?

I wouldn't say the passing game has been nerf'd exactly, but it clearly doesn't work quite as efficiently as the running game does now. The most obvious benefit is that a QB can throw an INT but the defense cannot recover a fumble (the rare punt return fumble aside). Big immediate benefit to rushing all game right there.

The old Darkwing passing strategy does work as it always has, CB or no CB on the field. Since the passing engine operates on a zone defense concept, the LB's ended up being the defenders against the pass in the game quoted above in this thread.

A better way to look at the rushing game is to compare the number of rushing attempts per game that gained 1 or more yards to the number of pass completions. Using the game referenced in this thread as an example we see:

Socten - 30/44 rushing plays gained 1+ yard (68% success rate)
Gydnia - 23/56 passes completed (41.1% success rate)

Basically the running game results a greater number of positive plays per game than the passing game does. I would venture a guess that a similar comparison over a full season would see similar results.

That said, using the FB/L and FB/R in the passing game does not work at all. While yes you can technically get 6 eligible receivers (which is a rules violation at any level of football), you are diluting the impact (i.e lower your completion %) of your WR's and TE's who are likely trained higher in Catching than a FB or RB.

Edited for spelling.
