Things that can affect attendance:

Your division and the division of your opponent - the higher the divisions the better the numbers.
Form for both teams - a recent loss can reduce attendance and a recent win can boost. This only counts league games, so losses and/or wins in friendlies don't apply.
League rank for both teams - This one seems to have a big effect. The higher in the standings, the better the attendance. Based on your friendly opponents rank (8th), I'd say that's a big reason for the lower attendance.
Weather has an effect as well.

There may be other factors that I'm forgetting, but I'd say the opponent league rank is what got you this time.

You played a team that lies 8th in a CE Div IV... Not the people attracter like a TD team. Or a team with a winning record.
