Just had my first overtime game and both teams were so bad it took 106 mins for any score to be registered
Is that some kind of (unwanted) GI record??

Also I noticed the final score was displayed on my fixtures page shortly after the normal completion time despite the commentary still only updating minute-by-minute... I assume that's normal and to do with the way the games are processed?

I'm guessing from the league tables that unlike the NFL there are no ties, so in theory could a game go on for hours/days if both offences were incapable of scoring?

The semi-official records thread says "Longest Over-Time:
92:10 (Munich Panthers) vs Jena Jousters - CE IV.6 S3 29/08/09" so it looks like you have a record!

The games are simulated before the start time of the game, they are just being displayed bit by bit over the next hour. And indeed you can see the result of overtime while it is still "ongoing" on your fixtures page. It's a known bug.

AFAIK there is no limitation to how long overtime can last. It would be interesting to test this by playing two "bot" offenses against two strong defenses. Maybe that has already been tried, maybe one of the old guys knows...

Just to clarify, mine was 106 minutes total (so 46 mins of overtime). Not sure if the 92:10 you mention above is referring to total game time or overtime alone? Anyway, am glad it was only a friendly, as not scoring in over a hundred minutes is nothing to be proud of..... for the fans' sake it's probably a good job that stadiums are empty right now!
