Well some two years after I bought an ultimate supporter account, they've actually designed a kit and helmet for my team.

It's a pity I'll probably only get to enjoy it for a day, because Weasels are due to go bankrupt tomorrow.

Let's hope that the Admins are as inefficient as usual.....it would be a major blow to the Division and the Game if the Weasels were not around anymore. Fingers crossed for your survival mate

I notice that Flanders League Murderers have gone Bot, have admin punished him for his shamefull actions in the last round of our league matches last season, or is it financial?

Im going for the shamefull actions theory myself.

I also think folk who have splashed out on the ultimate supporters account should be given a longer amount of time (maybe a couple of weeks extra) to try and resolve any financial problems they might have.

Indeed. I always figured just a harsh punishment should be enough for financial messing around. Drop a few random players and replace with youths. Enough to push someone to likely demotion but not taking them out of the game entirely.

I got a bit sentimental about my quarterback who was costing over 100k a week, and kept him long after I should have let him go. I would have been ok, but my schedule started with an away game, and if I sold any more players the team would barely have been much more than a youth team anyway.

Same here, soon i will have two away games in a row and i reckon after that i will be bankrupt.

I reckon they went due to finances. Their salary was HUUUGE for ages. Their decision to lay down on the last week of the season was perhaps due to them knowing they were on their way out, and any sanctions would be irrelevant?

I agree with shmert ..... add in the stadium size and the attendances they were getting and it looks financial.

I'd put money on it that the benefactor of their actions, who was receiving PM's about their reasons for laying down/cheating, would know .... but will they divulge ?

Well, I seem to have survived by... 29,090 dollars. Not even close in the end.

I'd just like to thank certain parties for their offers of support. It means a lot. I know it's just a game, but even so, it's nice. League survival will be rather unlikely though. It looks at though we shall depart with a whimper rather than a bang.

As for Flanders, well, I guess the ignominy led them to choose bankruptcy over rebuilding. I feel rather guilty and ashamed that I kicked up such a rabble about it. Teams in real life tank all the time, for favourable drafts and whatnot. At least they tried to make it subtle.

Oh well, good luck for the rest of the season, everyone that has a chance.

Well done mate, i echo what garyh said in his post. It would be a shame to lose one of the games top managers and teams to botdom and i hope you can turn it around long term.

However, don't feel ashamed or guilty for calling out Flanders and his blatant disregard for the other managers and teams in our league last season.

We never know how last season would have played out in the end (and i take nothing away from Sredna and the Gnomes superb season), but Flanders actions could in my honest opinion, result in us losing one of the finest teams and managers the game has seen in the last 5 or 6 seasons due to the financial implications it has had.

The same manager who has advised me so well during my time here. Yes he is a very close friend, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when i think of the implications it has had and you should never feel shit for calling Flanders out.

Rant Over!
