Hey thanks Gator!
I had fun doing the recaps/updates but stopped when it seemed like nobody cared.

Glad to see some folks enjoyed them.
Thanks!

It happens sometimes. Similarly to making a td on the 60th minute play.

BTW - Huge upset to start week 1....wow Clayton back in the TD with a bang over the 69ers!

Another slow start with a lot of lineup turnover

Here we go again with the injuries. Falling into the same pattern from 2 seasons ago.
Just 2 weeks into the season and already lost my starting S and K.

Wow.
Looking at this seasons results, it is going to be TOUGH to win on the road in the NA TD this season. So far, through 3 weeks, only 1 road team has won a game.

Home teams are a combined 14-1 through all games so far. Wow.

Let's change the subject by doing a recap of this week's games and a preview of next week.

Recap:
So far this season has been highly competitive. Through 3 weeks of the season, the home team is a staggering 14-1. If this is any indication of the future, this season is going to go down to the wire. It will be extremely difficult to get any wins on the road.

Socten Lakers 45 - Orlando Gators 42
Each season Orlando gets better and better. This season may be their best chance to make a title run in quite a while. With a strong performance on the road against Socten, the league should take notice. In the meantime, Socten continued their strong play with a good win over a tough team.

Pottsville Maroons 38 - Las Vegas Hogs 17
Pottsville picks up their 1st win of the season over the newly promoted Hogs. A low scoring game exploded with points in the 4th quarter that saw the Maroons defend their home turf and pick up the win.

Clayton Bears 35 - Warsaw Warpigs 31
Clayton continues to turn heads as they pick up their 2nd win of the season. Having beaten the 69ers and now Warsaw, Clayton has announced themselves as potential contenders this season. Warsaw, having lost 2 straight road games, head back home to the Pig Pen to take on the Cardsharks next week.

Kitchener Knights 42 - Los Angeles 69ers 28
In the biggest upset of the week, the 69ers fell on the road to the Kitchener Knights. A game that was tied at halftime, saw the Knights aerial attack unload on the 69ers defense in the 3rd quarter. The 69ers just had no answer for the Knights passing attack or defense in the 2nd half of this shocker.

Vegas Cardsharks 63 - Chaos Regulators 28
Chaos traveled to the Casino to face off against the Cardsharks this week. Chaos came in off a big win over the Clayton Bears. The Cardsharks were reeling after a big loss on the road to the 69ers. The Cardsharks were already down their starting Safety and to top it off, the starting Kicker went down with an injury before the game. This lead to some short field positions for Chaos. The game was high scoring in the 1st half with the home team clinging to a 35-28 half time lead. However, the Cardsharks defense shut down Chaos in the 2nd half and pulled away for the win. Week 4 Preview

As previously mentioned, these predictions will be extremely difficult given the strength of homefield this season. Let's see how week 4 shapes up:

Orlando Gators - Pottsville Maroons
The Gators host the Maroons who are both coming off strong performances. The Gators strong performance was in a close road loss to the Lakers and the Maroons after a home win against the Hogs. This game should come down to the Gators rushing attack and a strong defensive front. I believe the Maroons will keep this game close, but I give the edge to the Gators.
Prediction: Gators win 27-24

Las Vegas Hogs - Clayton Bears
This is a difficult game to predict. Both of these teams have been Jekyll and Hyde on the road versus playing at home. The Hogs and Bears have both pulled off amazing home wins against Warsaw while also laying eggs on the road. I could see this game going either way, but for this prediction I will give the edge to the home team Hogs.
Prediction: Hogs win 31-27

Chaos Regulators - Kitchener Knights
Kitchener follows up its dramatic home victory over the 69ers with a visit to the Chaos Regulators. This comes after the Regulators struggled against the Cardsharks last week. The Knights passing attack should keep this game close heading into the 4th quarter. However, this is where I believe the Regulator rushing attack will take over and pull away for the victory.
Prediction: Regulators win 45-28

Los Angeles 69ers - Socten Lakers
Who could have believed the 69ers would be in a "must win" situation in week 4 of the season. The 69ers cannot afford to fall to 1-3 but that is a very stark possibility for them. Conversely, this game gives the Lakers a chance to create separation between them and any late season charge from the 69ers. However, as we saw 2 weeks ago, the 69ers are a different team at home with their big win over an injury plagued Cardsharks team. These teams always play down to the wire. This game should be no different.
Prediction: 69ers win 34-31

Warsaw Warpigs - Vegas Cardsharks
Warsaw is coming off another surprising road loss. Along with the 69ers, they also cannot afford to fall to 1-3 on the season with tough matches still lingering in their future. Is this the season the Warpigs take a step back? Lucky for them they are getting an injury depleted Cardsharks team who's injured Safety cost them dearly against the 69ers and who's injured Kicker allowed the Regulators good field position throughout the game. I believe this game will come down to the homefield advantage, injuries, and steady play of the Warpigs offense.
Prediction: Warpigs win 38-35
