Though, in most cases, the NT players would likely already be maxed at their main positions. If not, they probably shouldn't have been on the NT to begin with.

Totally agree. I was thinking more about a secondary position and whether I could speed along a player's development there in a NT game.

Last question:

If a player is a 4* talent, can they be a 4.5 BPOS for an offense and defense position? Obviously you have to play them at just defense and no offense to get them up, but just want to confirm they can be 4.5 at two different positions.

Thank you!

The amount of different maxed out positions is not capped, it's just naturally limited by games per season. If you play friendlies each week, you can give someone 38 games + cup games in a certain position. This is around 2 stars per season.

Eventually, you will have a first team that is maxed out in BPOS and playing their best position in each competitive game for results. Training BPOS in other positions will have to be in friendlies then. This gives 1 full star of BPOS per season, so yeah, I would think 3 positions is probably the limit.

Keep in mind that combining offence and defence will also need more time training skills. Some positions overlap better than others. E.g. OL and DL is a good combination.

My player Augustín Igaz - 4* talent
Wide Receiver, Cornerback, Safety, Gunner - 4.5* BPOS
Linebacker - 3* BPOS, in the future also 4.5

Keep in mind, the 10 games can be messed with if you switch the player's position in games.

A player can only have one position as BPOS and thus only one position can have the highest games played total. So if for example, a player has trained at a position and attains 4* at that position and it's his BPOS, then you immediately start training another position until he reaches 4* at that position, he will actually drop back to 3.5* at the previous position. Then if you alternate positions between the two, he will never reach 4.5* at either position because each time, the previous position will lose one game played. He will flop back and forth between 3.5* and 4* at both positions.

I hope that makes sense.

The moral is that you should train one position until you've reached the goal you want, then train at least one or two games more, then you can switch position training safely.

This is great I did not know that! So basically playing a player on both sides of the ball will mean he will never reach 4.5 so it's best to just play one position?

i've got multiple players with skill levels 4 star who are 4.5 BPOS in more than one position, i have never seen them fall down again? I always train my QB as a Kicker, and they're always maxed at both, although once the kicker is done, they always play QB, and kicker in the same game only?

I do not experience this with my 2 or 3 BPOS players. Look at my game versus Weasels last round. My OL and DL all have 5 BPOS in OL and DL except Kragh who plays LB on defense. They all start with 5 BPOS in all positions and only drop at the end.

When I look at the players, I have never seen them drop in BPOS while training for the second or third position, so I am not clear on what you mean.

Like PHI says, you need to start the player for 1-2 games after maxing the BPOS on the first position, in that position, to ensure that it doesn't drop 1/2* when he maxes out BPOS at the second position.
