To start a international league? Everyone gets a second team. Is it possible to make it?, if a player is ever on one of your two teams, he will never be able to ever transfer to your other team.

Leagues with only a few teams would be playing against non bots, that's a plus.
Will be twice as many teams, that's a plus.
Good owners get to go up against each other .that never have and been around here a long time, a plus.
The market will pick back up, a plus.
Would be nice to start a new team from scratch after knowing what the game is about. Just a thought also get rid of the damn home field advantage and make the rb's fumble now and then. the end, p.s. this is not a conspiracy theory.

So you are asking for a change in the game. I think that it is a noble thought, but since no changes have been made in the last decade, I would not set anyone's hopes up...

I have returned to this game after an 8 year break.

Unfortunately I think that Sredna is right, The game has not seen any changes in years.

Some great points made by hillbilly and they could prolong the slow death that this game is suffering.

Apparently there are only about 300 hundred players and several thousand bots.

Which would calculate to appr. 4.900 bot teams. That ratio (live teams vs bots) is 5 time worse than Ryan Leafs "career" td/int ratio.

Maybe if the users handle publicity for the game and link to it on social media, we'll get new users. It's a good, realistic system that I like better than Fantasy Football in some ways. I mean, this is the classic "If we all hold a bake sale, we can save the team!" approach, IT JUST MIGHT WORK!

Problem is - we have no cake. The game might catch some new players (I know at least 10 or 15 that have tried it) but they just loose interest when they see that there is no development.

The cool thing about a game like this is to be able to be competitive while tweaking through the minor changes and nuances of the game. But this game is monotone.

If you ask the 300 or so players left how many times they have analyzed their opponent and tweaked their tactics more or less all will say that they set the tactics as last time and just see if the opponent is passing or running. That is literally 20 clicks.

If details mattered and there was more clarity into the game engine, it could be more interesting.

20 clicks is overkill in my eyes. I'm more of a one click every few weeks/months kind of coach these days.

Don't need to set a line up, or even be able to name any players on the team in order to carve out a respectable coaching career in Oceania. Just log in to reset the bot counter, then go back to that game with no bots and a waiting list to join.

Somehow picked up a regional cup title with this approach, which I've been using since being bundled out of the prestigious Ultimate Supporter Cup some years ago. Stam 20 can be your friend sometimes it seems

I have good memories of this game. Enjoyed the Nation's Cup, liked compiling the Oceania stats to the point of becoming the historian for the region, had fun drinking up a storm and writing dumb news articles about my team's fortunes, had some great AFLC runs with some white-hot lineups, and met some great coaches along the way.

I keep the Pigs alive because it's hard to let the team go after nearly 10 years, plus it's nice to have this emergency method of communication with those I know here who remain fiercely averse to the lures and clutches of social media, bless them.

Anyhow, I've said enough and gone well over my click quota for this quarter. As you were, gents...
