If you don't play your absolute best players and try to actually win for the rest of the first nine matches then you will have a detrimental effect on the season, whether it's obvious or not.

Aside from that, speaking in my expert capacity as someone who never won anything but has a few dollars, dropping down to Div III (and staying there for a couple of seasons before trying to promote) will definitely solve any money woes. Doubly so if you sell mid-season any well paid players who are old enough now they won't be a part of the team when you want to win again.

Playing a youth as WR or TE while running 100% or playing a youth as CB on against a run all opponent should not matter. I do hear what you are saying and will not change game 5 to 9. Unless injuries play a part.
