I believe a youth academy helps with the talent on average. And I have a couple of superstitions as well, the best one being that the earlier you make the youth pull, for example if it's bang on 4am on Friday, the better chance they have of being a great player.

I have been very lucky with my youths over the years. Moreso with Weasels, but that was when I was so involved with the game I would literally wake up at 4am to do a youth pull and set my UK National Team orders.
