Hi Folks!
I have a question about who to start and where:
I bought a 17y old guy with 18 int 18 team work and 19 cons with 4 talent.
I bought a 16y old guy with 12 int 16 team work and 20 cons with 4.5 talent.
Im considering one will be the starting qb and the other the starting wr and go with this duo. If the setup is not good one of them will be a qb for my team, but which one should be?

Thanks and have a nice day!

In my opinion, the 16 year old guy should be your QB.
You must train both in physicals and when they cap you can get a better idea of where to play them

I agree.

You definitely want a 4.5*+ QB, but intelligence is a bit low. If the 16 y.o. is capping high in physicals, I would rather make him a MLB. It would be a very good MLB with arguably a comparable impact as the QB. If he is capping early (15 or below in speed or strength), then QB would be my choice.

But that's also for my current situation, it will be different for you. For a new team, I would think that a 4.5* talent QB is more important than a 4.5* MLB, and then the intelligence would be a slight disadvantage that you have to accept.

If the 17 y.o. reaches 19 or 20 speed, you can make him a dual position player WR+SF (free safety). This would be perfect with the high intelligence and teamwork

First max out fitness and see where they cap. Once speed and strength are established, then get stamina to 16 min. While speed and strength are training, play them at special teams positions to get some bpos toward one of those while they are doing nothing. While stamina is getting to 16, determine the needs of your team and where they will best fit and begin playing them at those positions, defense position first if they will eventually be dual role players. Dual role players are usually players with teamwork 10 and higher, as they have the highest skills to attain and develop faster. For the players you have listed, assuming they reach the fitness skills for the positions you mention....QB is not that important for strength and speed, WR I only use 19 or 20 speed...based on that and not knowing their fitness, I would be thinking MLB for the first guy, as I prefer my QB and FS to be 19 or 20 intel. Those are the 3 positions that require high intelligence. For MLB, he would have to get to at least 18 speed and 17 intel, otherwise, I would have to see his final fitness to determine position. He could be used at QB, but I prefer 19 or 20 itel. For the 2nd guy, I would be thinking dual role OLB and WR, assuming he hits at least 19 or 20 speed. 19/16 would be really nice. I have found OLB are fine in the 10 intel and above and high consistency. He would also be really good for RB, which is really important in the current GE. He would need to get to at least 18 spd to be considered for RB. These are all my opinions, but I would suggest listing the intel and consitency minimums you require for each position and then also the speed and strength requirements for each position. Then you can use that chart to place your players initially by intel and consistency, since those don't change and then by speed and strength as they get to the appropriate numbers. If they don't cut it by the time they max out fitness, then you can sell or fire them and carry on. Best of luck

Thank you very much for this very detailed explanation. My bad, I didnt give more details on my side. So Im in the 5th division, just expanded my stadium to 20k and finished all of the facilities with upgrades. Gonna buy the supporter next week and will get back the details whether these guys are caped or not in phys stats.

Well I will try to focus on getting new and good guys from now as I have stable income and currently very few good players. Good players in my eyes, so basicly started to build a new team with this two guys and will try to buy better and better players from now. So in other perspective. I should get back I see their stats or and if they can still evolve move on that road you described or as I just start the journey I should put one of them to QB regardless of the stats?

Other things which was new for me:
Can I play the same guy on OFF and DEf? what is going to happen in this case with his position? which one will be the primary if it can be called like that in this case? And is this the good way? to have these types of guys which plays on both sides? can you please give me more info about this. Could in pm if thats better.

And the other:
When you mentioned the current GE uses RBs really well, could you give me some advice what should be my gameplan? or do we have something for this in this forum? Half balanced team is the best? or focus on the run, where can I find more information about this or if you could give me, that would really helpful is as well.

Thank you very much!

Perfect start Supporter is not necessary to know the physical caps, but it does make it easy.

You will have some good youth picks from the academy during the season, and maybe a few cheap youngsters ones on the market. You don't need to have 4.5* talent for all positions, not everyone position needs high intelligence or high consistency. You can work towards a full team of 3.5*+ talent in a few seasons.

Yes, it's possible and very common I would say. When a player plays a game in OFF and DEF, he will train BPOS in OFF. If he plays in DEF and special team, he will train BPOS in DEF. When a player is correctly trained in skills and physicals, he will perform well both in OFF and DEF.

Full focus on run works well against BOT teams. In my experience the combo FB-C + FB-R + HB-C with your best RB in HB-C works very well. 5 OL and fill with others WR/TE (less important). Only when you are competing against other real managers, you might want to be able to change between running and passing game and maybe do a balanced one once a while.

Dual role players will perform just fine if they are maxed in bpos for both positions and have good stamina. They also save you money by needing less players highly trained, since they cover 2 positions. Important to note if you play them at offense, defense and special teams, they will only gain bpos for offense in that game. So train them for special teams first, then defense, then offense until they are maxed at bpos in that position. Max bpos plus 1 additional game to make sure they don't go back down when you switch positions. Once they are maxed in special teams, start playing them at defense in games and also the special teams if you want, but will only gain bpos on the defense position. Last start playing them at offense position.

You will sort out your own strategy, but start with establishing fitness levels and skills you want to train for each position. Every position only utilizes 3 to 5 of the skills available. This was stated by admins long ago, so pick out 5 skills to train for each position and level those skills up evenly. Then you can sort out your game day strategies. I would recommend playing around with the run/pass percentages and see what you like the best. I like a blend on each down, but some opponents you may want to go 90% run or 90% pass. You will figure that out as your team gets better. In the beginning, just go all run, especially against bots

Thank you guys

As I said previously I come back soon, well Im here with the same two guys but with more details:
16y old, 4.5 talent 12 int, 16TW, 20Cons capped with stre at 13. Currently speed 15 and sta 8.
17y old 4 talent 19 int, 18TW, 18 Cons capped with speed at 16. Currently stre 12 and sta 3.

With these details I guess the WR for the second is off. As I said my team is really new so they can be anywhere they will be an upgrade there

Thank you guys and have a nice day!
