Isn't the first line only supposed to have 3 syllables in a Haiku?

Five syllabuses
The first line of a haiku
If correctly done

The moon shining in the midnight sky
Nearly blinding my eyes
I look up, and I see a man on the moon
My deep respite might be over, could this be true
"Hey, you"
I say
"The man on the moon"
"Yes," said the man turning to me
"Could you please dim the lights and let me sleep"
"Or make it day again, and let me walk in peace"
But the man simply said, "Is the sun not brighter than the moon will ever be"
Dumbfounded I said, "Yes," simply
The man then replied, "Well I've no idea for nothing bothers me"
Impatiently I said, "Well could you please turn the light off so I can rest these eyes of mine"
Then he dimmed the lights, and for a second I saw, he had no eyes
