Well you know, haiku's aren't always in the 5-7-5 syllable format. They are supposed to have 17 mora but a lot of people mistake it for syllable

...some heroes carry the flame of love in their heart for you all their short days in hope that you have the courage to "gain that hill" in your life...

... some of you are true heroes, all you have to do is remember that even strangers care and give the ultimate price in what they care for.

Be A Hero.. just remeber the ones that came and went before you.

Thanks Merc. I was remembering my father when I wrote this and I can still feel the tears rolling down my face as I pictured hid face in my mind.

My dad was a bastion of hope and courage and those walls that are his formidable kindness can never be scaled.

Daddy, I am 29 years old today and oh how I wished that you could see me now. I have you in my aching heart for all my days.

Your loving daughter, Joanne.

Here's a glass to the best of us
The shining example for the rest of us
The ones who toil without complaint
the ones who love without restraint
Yes Here's a Glass to those Jolly few
We'll take yours cause we need two.
