Played in a golf scramble on Friday and won closest to the pin on the 12th hole par 3, only 4'-3" from the pin! A hole in one would have given me the keys to a new SUV, but I had to settle for a $50 visa gift card..........still pretty awesome

This is the place for all of us awesome people on GI to post. Right now the club is 4 members- TFS, croverja, MeanMachine, and myself. Anyone who wants in, here's the place to ask. But please, only those of you who are truly awesome may apply.

There are 4 ways to tell an awesome person. You must have at least 3 to join.

1 You CAN NOT, and I repeat CAN NOT be a nerd. Nerds just aren't cool.

2 If over the age of legality in your country, you must enjoy a good drink. Doesn't matter what type of alcohol it is, but it must be alcohol.

3 You must have good taste in women. I can't stress this enough. If she's not hot, then you can't be awesome.

4 You must have a natural ability to spam. How can you be awesome if you don't let people know it all the time?

Finally, the most important rule is, no fans of the Colorado Avalanche are allowed to apply. You can start your own club if you wish, but it will never be looked at with the same level of awesomeness as this one is.

1 I am not a nerd, but he might believe
2 I'm not drinking too much alcohol
3 apply
4 Does not apply

I'm not a supporter of US soccer, but when I chose a team a while ago, I chose Colorado Avalanche

If you don't feel that you meet the criteria established for this club, and it is pretty awesome, there is always the slightly less awesome awesome club directly across the street. Often times you will see Flames out there mowing the lawn in his pink bikini and sipping on some ice tea

Jaja, i like the idea

The noise Suzy Dent makes at 1.24 is comfortably the sexiest thing on the internet.

Sitting at the ortho waiting for my son to get his braces ripped off. How awesome is that? How long will this take?

Sounds like your day is as awesome as mine. Blown out tire this past Friday, had to replace the water pump on my washing machine Sunday, and now a dead battery in my car after stopping at the gas station on my way to work, today. Three awesome days in less than a week. Outstanding...

When you're super awesome, this is just called another day. Didn't you save any lives yet today?

Not yet. Although, I am officially home from work for the day rather than just heading in tonight to get a few things done. Now, watching my two year old and picking up the step kids from school because my wife's headed to the hospital where her uncle has been given two days to live. We were supposed to be heading to Nashville on Sunday for the Titans/Packers game. However, I believe that may be off the table at this point. I guess it's just one of those periods where life decides it's time to bring you back down to earth for a few days and let you weather a storm....
wait, no! Maybe I did save a life. I went out on the back deck for a short bit to sit with my wife when she got the call about her uncle and there was a squirrel who was sitting in a split part at the base of a tree. He had a little hawk that kept bouncing around the lower limbs of the tree, knew he was in there and was waiting him out. The little squirrel just kept barking away, and when the hawk came down low enough I jumped up towards the tree and spooked him away. So, maybe that counts... although, I think the hawk might disagree since it was obviously hungry. Lol, it's been a surreal day to say the least.

After awesome-ly killing this thread for a couple of days, I do actually have some good news to report after having such a crap week. My wife and I went to her ultrasound appointment today and we came back with the good news that our new addition to the family that is due in April is a healthy girl -Aubrey- currently weighing in at an estimated 10 ounces, good heart beat, quite active and already an Auburn fan! Yes, that's right... I managed to convince the wife to go along with naming her Aubrey after Auburn. Ha!
