Not directly, but height and weight are both part of the formula, when calculating BMI.

BMI is used to limit speed/agility and strength, as you can see explained in the link below.

And those values - speed, strength and agility - do affect player performance.

Still trying to determine that one myself. I do believe INT is needed for MLB. Based on how the game engine is suppose to work, I would think that it wouldn't necessarily be needed for OLB. However, most top end OLB's I've scouted had high INT and most of the time I use high INT OLB's myself. I currently have a couple of OLB's with lower INT I'm trying now so we'll see how they perform.

I had a 5* player back many seasons ago with low intel that I maxed out at both DE and OLB. Over the course of several seasons, he outperformed at DE consistently and was very inconsistent at OLB. From that time on, I will not train OLB with lower than 10 intel and prefer green, just like most should be using for MLB. Complete dummies can play on the DL and CB, but not at FS, SS, MLB or OLB. That is my 2 cents

That is very interesting. In past seasons I have put my high consistency, low intel LB's at the OLB spot and haven't seen much (if any) of a difference between higher intel players at OLB. For the MLB, obviously, high intel is a must and clearly shows impact in results.

I completely agree about the DL positions. Intelligence doesn't seem to affect that at all. I have also seen little/no impact on the OL either. I know that the developers said that intel *can* affect the OL, but I have not seen specific evidence to prove that it does.

Another interesting tidbit that I have observed at the OLB position is that Footwork seems to have little impact on results if they have high agility and tactical skills. Naturally, I would have thought that Footwork would impact OLB since they factor into the pass defense, but I have tangibly observed multiple instances where OLB's had very low footwork and performed well in pass defense.

Just my observations. I wonder if anyone else has other input?

Yes, it is effective, and admin really should take his time to remove or change the text about 'V2 game engineering'.

The BMI-stuff has been effective since season 25, but it was written into the game long before that - just not incorporated in the engine.

When it was written into the game (around season 10) everybody was waiting for a version 2 - an improvement that never came.

So for some 15 seasons the text - as we see it - was relevant.
Nowadays it should be changed to just tell us the relevant values.

Another question, does it mean that you can continue to develop Strengh or Speed to touch the cap of a player when this player is to thin or to fat to touch this level in game ?

Yes.

Let's say you have a player whose speed will cap at 19.
He is a bit heavy, so his BMI is 40 and will only allow him to play at speed lvl 16.

BMI at 40 will not prevent you from training his speed to 19, but if you want him to actually play at that lvl, you'll have to put him on a diet, so his BMI will go to 31 (or lower).

Teamwork is only used to add to training points to improve skills. So it won't have any effect towards any position.
