No need for apology ... I want every manager to feel they can provide input or make observations. My reply was to add info to your comment, not to defend them

After 2 games Australia is in 2nd place in Group A with a better touchdown total of 13 - 8 v Canada

Of mine Jayden Collier would have to be the best probably. He only lacks consistency and a bit of talent but his physical ability and match skills are probably as good as you'll get for a CB in the Australian League.

AUS 42 -49 CAN

Canada owned us that game. We were lucky not to be another 14 points behind, as the had pocession when each half finished.

They killed your pass defence. From the minimal missed tackles shown, looks like Canada aimed at the flanks for their plays.

Still, a pretty respectable result. Missed tackles from the likes of Eagleton and Ridley are killing us.

Nice to see Pierce Boyle providing solid play at QB; already an improvement if you compare his numbers with that of other Team Australia QBs from last season.

not sure how to react to this performance. Australia again did well offensively, particularly the short game. Defensively we still did as well as can be expected without top quality CB's <my youth academy just provided a 4* 16yo CB with very good start skills > and only failed by 1 TD (so still hold an advantage over Canada but MUST beat them in the return game or hope for Sweden to get up and beat them.

Should also point out that Canada is rated HIGHER than Russia ... I think at very least is a result that shows Australia NT is going in the right direction.

Vs. Russia - that was embarassing.

Was Tim harvey running around with a blindfold on?

I've said it before but I guess it bears repeating. Jordan Bruce is a ST CB. He has good blocking and crap tackling, vision, positioning, catching, etc. If you play him as a normal CB expect missed tackles.

I know he has good consistency, but that just means he's a consistently crap normal CB. You're much better off playing an inconsistent CB who is trained for the position because at least then you sometimes get a good performance.

I've said it before but I guess it bears repeating. NONE of our CB's are going to perform against top quality receivers as WE HAVE NO QUALITY CB's !!!!!

I could play my grandma as a CB and will make no difference to the end results.
