Week 1

Disappointing Performance in opener from the Eagles

It seems only two of the Eagles squad turned up this week, as ex Phlanx QB DAVIDSON and Eagles TE Legend GIBBONS led the underpar thirdandlong boys to an opening day victory.

Davidson hit the tight end 10 times throughout the game in sunny spain, connecting for three touchdown passes in the 28-14 victory. Gibbons figures were impressive, with 10 receptions for 199 yards and 3 scores. With just a 1 TD lead in the fourth DAVIDSON hit canadien WR Landreville for a 5 yard touchdown, and the win.

With much tougher tests to come in an extremely strong (and french) division the eagles must improve. Coach Butcher has promised changes ahead of the big game with last seasons runners up INVICTUS next week. With the grand opening of the Eagles new state of the art stand can Butcher lead his stuttering side to another famous victory?

you cant reply on 2 players to win you games mate. You have no attacking threat as your WRs and TEs are poor. On D, your Dline and Lbs are similarly poor. You need to build a more rounded team, start with 1 WR or Te and your MLB and FS.Good luck.

wot Dave is trying to say is for a 68k QB your not getting the full benefit of your passing game when your WRs are still fairly low skill levels.

similar for your LBs not they are poor players

Oh yeah absolutely - i understand that they arnt the greatest but up until recently i didnt have the stadium to pay for such expensive wages. Ive probably increased my stadium size by 50,000 in the last season.

Now i have i am building up the technical side of my team, a case of building a side capable of stepping up to the next divisional level, rather than trying to build a top division side right away and going bot through finance. Look at the Havana Marlins, they were in my division, short term success, long term failure.

Watch out now though boys, i have around a million pound opportunity in my finances to build up some quite remarkable players. I have a large amount of HIGH TALENT young players. (scout Carswell - hes awesome and similar to alot of the others). This season to build, next season to dominate.

Also if you look at the teams in my league, they havent any huge amazing players either...though i think ill end up 3rd.

WEEK 2

THIRDANDLONG EAGLES 59-0 INVICTUS

INVICTUS CONVICTED...

The Eagle boys took full advantage of the debt ridden French side, demolishing Invictus by 59 points. It was an extremely slow start from the Eagles however, with the home crowd venting their frustrations, booing the Eagles off at the half with them leading just 14-0.

It was a reinvigorated side that came out for the second half, adding another 6 touchdowns and a rare field goal to the score for a 59-0 win. The Eagles go 2 and 0.

WEEK 3

THIRDANDLONG EAGLES 7-21 MADE IN PARIS

PARIS CUP HEARTACHE FOR EAGLES

Despite holding homefield advantage against yet another French side, the thirdandlong boys were sent to a compelling defeat by MADE IN PARIS. Things looked ominous from the very beginning when a long hopeful pass downfield was completed handing the Made in France side a 7-0 lead on the very first play. A Davidson pass to the reliable tight end Sean Paul Gibbons levelled the playing field going into the end of the first quarter

The second quarter started brightly for the Eagles, as the defence held prevented the Paris QB Ballu gaining any yards on two possesions. Davidson, despite moving the ball reasonably well was unable to take advantage.

The second half was to be very different, as Ballu found his feet the Eagles struggled to cope, conceding touchdowns in the third and fourth quarter ending any cup dreams for this season
