Who's to say the stats on the youth pulls are different at all, they could be same no matter which you pick

The one season I nailed 6 gems, they were all 4 and 5 letter last names, the next season I grabbed 4 and they were all from the CB position. It's just random, which makes all the stats for this art, completely useless. Still the most fun each week. I had always hoped they would allow one further upgrade to the youth center which would allow you to toss back a youth pull and select a 2nd one each week........if you had the upgrade and wanted to. Just saying a well organized youth center would certainly double your chances of getting a better pull. Plus, there is no advantage, all teams that had the last upgrade would get the same benefit

Since everyone would build the last extension to the youth center, GI could just as well give all that ability from the beginning. After builing to 13.500,shop, club shop and training hall, most players use the 1.370.000 to build the youth academy in order to start recruiting youths. So basicly every team with more than 2 seasons under their belt would have the fully upgraded youth center.

I would rather have that there is one prospect and that the youth centre actually gave some insigth to the quality of the player, and that he at least had a 3+ star talent rating. That would make more sense than pulling 1 star talented players. No way they in real life would seek a football career if they at high school level where that terrible.

Which makes stat-making in this realm so completely useless since there is no formula, no system and no logic to the youths. Only blind luck and perhaps some help in the form that you can see the starting skills, but I reckon that most coaches will rather draft a 4½ talent player who starts at 10/10 speed/strength and caps at 19 after 3 seasons than pulling a 15/15 speed/strength player with 2 star talent.

But interesting that the talent of the player could be the same for all. It would be impossible to test since no one has access to the ones we did not pull and time travel is dead since Stephen Hawkins no longer is among us.

Season 26 was the second straight season since I've been on GI that I got zero 4.5* talents in the youth pulls. Prior to season 25, I had pulled anywhere from 1 to 6, 4.5* talents or 5* talents. Quite a bad string of luck. Season 27 I will pull the 1st selection every week regardless of age and skills, see if that randomly changes my talent luck

My last 4½ star talent youth pull was in week 1 in season 24. Like shooting fish in an empty barrel...

Thanks I feel slightly better now, I'm not the only one.

So Week 1 - 4* talent, 11 spd/14 str/3 int/12 con

Week 2 - 2.5* grrrrrrrrrrr

I'll see your 2½ star and raise you with:

Week 0: 1½ star talent, 14 spq/14 str/7 int/17 con
Week 1: 2 star talent, 12 spd/15 str/16 int/9 con
Week 2: 1½ star talent, 12 spd/14 str/13 int/14 con

Edit: The last ones INT is misleading. He believes he is so good that he made himself a free agent.

I gave mine a comic book, bologna sandwich and a bus ticket and he tossed the bus ticket and hopped in the free agent line too. Kids these days, they just can't see the writing on the wall

Week finally produced something... a 4 star talent player. Has about the same chance of playing as Geno Smith. Oh well... One shouild not complain.

Funny stat. INT does look like it normalizes around a higher number than TW and CON. Both TW and CON are flat - with almost equal distribution among the values (1 to 20). INT does have a concentration around 15 and 16. Those two score almost double that of the rest.

Now that stat is done, we are ready to simulate the youth pull and be able to pick a 4½+ player each time.... or not.
