Have a guess which teams have been made bot on the eve of the last round?

The twists and turns keep coming!

I did say that group B was done and dusted if Rojinegro lost last round. Hopefully this can restore some semblance of fairness. May the best bot basher win.

I had a feeling that the Admins would do that this week !!!
They've had months to act on that issue and they have chosen to do it now ? Interesting move on their behalf. Especially when you consider that they have allowed one of the other teams involved to stay active ... for now at least. Does it restore some fairness ? Yes and No, depending on everyone's personal views. I personally see both sides of it . I think we'd all agree tho that it again highlights some major issues with the current format for deciding league placings.

I'm sure Audrey will be delighted as he now get's a 'true' bot while you will face a weak human team. There will only be one winner out of that as I'd imagine that you will be affected by the relax rule more than he is.

As for the Admins ? Not exactly your finest hour is it ? Your actions are making the game even more of a joke/mess than it already is when a team bots themselves and affects the outcome of league standings.
Surely now more than ever you will realize that you MUST MAKE CHANGES to how teams with equal records are to be separated from each other as your current format of point differential DOES NOT WORK !! You have enough options to choose from - but Head to Head records (and head to head points where required if 2 games have been played and split) would surely be the simplest and most obvious one to ensure the fairest outcome.

Just do something because this issue, along with the many others within the game, are fast sending it on a one way trip ..... down the drain !!

Best of luck to both teams involved in the shoot-out.

I see that a certain safety who I felt was taking too long to develop (so I sold him. Net loss $940,000) is headed to the Iron Bowl.

That’s the only connection I’m ever likely to have with that game.

Wow, things never get boring in Group B. One coup de théâtre after another.

Stevie, I don't think the Admins are acting now because they are pulling for me. It is not uncommon for them to take plenty of time before finally dealing with possible violations. There were some instances in the past in which I reported somebody and yet nothing happened over the course of a month or two. Then, all of a sudden, said team was abruptly turned into a Bot. This is how they do things and this is likely how they handled the whole Pvris affair. Their timing was just perfect to bring me back into the IB conversation, there is no denying that. But, as I said, GI is a game of luck and luck has many shapes and forms.

As of H2H being a better tiebreaker than PD, I am not sure because there are too many variables to consider (especially in the AFLC, where the home field advantage is still in full effect apparently and where 3-way ties are entirely possible at the end of the Group stage, as it happened in Season 24). It certainly sucks when you end up losing out on PD because somebody else is turning into a Bot or is simply not playing fair. But mistakes, accidents and the personal choices of other managers are part of the game and there is no magic formula that will ultimately fix that. Last edited on 2018-07-19 at 12:19

There's my innings in the book. Target is 111 or more. Run rate of almost 2 points per minute required.

It is actually the Pigs greatest ever winning margin. But somehow I don't think it will be enough. Midgets are more than capable of running this total down.

Now for the 7 hour tea break. Good luck Audrey.

Wow, that was a bloodbath. Dumbarajko having his orders still set at "all pass" translated into like 1000 pressures (and 0 sacks, oddly enough). The fact that he had totally erased his roster, aside of a bunch of Level 1 scrubs, didn't help matters either.

I've scored 111+ exactly once in my career. So it can be done I guess. We'll see what happens.

Hmmm Is that what I had said ? Those are your words my friend, not mine. Nobody has suggested a player preference had been shown by Admins. Except you that is. That is also interesting to me.
Now ... Here's what I had said about the Admins actions - "Interesting move on their behalf. Especially when you consider that they have allowed one of the other teams involved to stay active ... for now at least."
Let me break it down for you.......

As I had clearly stated one of the teams (from the group of teams involved in other players complaints/concerns of multi team ownership) have been allowed by the Admins to continue without punishment. This is Interesting to me as it shows me that each team has been dealt with on a 'team by team' basis. With this in mind, I'm surprised that the Admins have looked at each team individually and failed to notice the Impact it would have on the game to ban the team involved in the AFLC now, compared to say next week. That's a big oversight that has a direct impact on other teams seasons. It's even more interesting when I look at the one team that has been allowed to stay active as I fail to understand why they have been allowed to do so. So yes, I find it interesting why they would take this action now rather than next week. But, as I said, you are the only one who has shown any thinking along the lines of player preference being involved.

I also notice that your views on certain things have mellowed recently. Was it not only a couple of weeks ago that you were making statements about another player sabotaging you on purpose, when he had simply had enough of the game ? I've no Idea what could have happened recently that has led to the change though

No hard feelings tho bud and I wish you all the best today.
Best of luck

Stevie,

There was some misunderstanding apparently, for which I apologize. When you said that you kinda expected the Admins to terminate the Pvris this week, I thought that you were implying that the Admins were trying to even things out in Group B after Dumbarajko's disappearing act. Now I see what you meant instead.

Not sure why one of the Pvris teams is still around. All we know is that the punishments of the Admins may vary (ranging from termination to a simple fine) whenever they are dealing with a given offender and they are trying to assess the severity of his violations. So we can't tell for sure if some lesser punishment has been dished out already or if the Admins are still working on it. We will find out soon enough I guess.

I was mad when I found out about Dumbarajko, since it was not something I was expecting from a respected veteran like him. Other managers were equally disappointed if I am not mistaken. But then I cooled down and in my subsequent posts I stated that GI is a game of luck after all and thus we need to accept the fact that many things are beyond our control. So I congratulated both you and Bloodbeak and moved forward. I had put the whole matter behind me already, considering it a closed chapter. Now I am obviously happy instead, knowing that I still have a fighting chance to make it to the IB somehow.

No need for apologies mate. I've done the same many a time.
