Congrats on the 18-0 Jinx. Great job considering the caliber of the division these days.

Shame to Pigs drop straight back down. II.3 looks interesting. 6 human teams next season.

2.1
Delcos Warriors, King Kamehameha Club, Onetangi Orcas + relegated team.

2.2
Denver Tigers, Om-Nom-Nomasaurus, Deamons, Smiggins Hole + relegated team.

2.3
Blood Army, Tully Bananas, Burleigh Beavers, Blenheim MNRX, Lucky Rodents + relegated team.

Whoever lands in 2.2 is likely coming back in season 21. I wouldn't mind landing in 2.3 - just because I've never faced the Beavers or the Bananas.

It's great to see such a large amount of human teams in lower leagues.

Most divisions recently only have 2-3 human teams. So to average 5 is great. And most look like longer termers. Season 17 (I think) Oceania started with 14 teams in II.1+2+3 abd finished with 8.

The only way that division with the Bananas and the Beavers could be any better is if they also had Smiggins Hole!

Oceania actually only had one div II team go bot this season. If this keeps up, in a few seasons we might even see human teams fighting to avoid going back to div III, or at least some of these old-school bot teams finally getting flushed out (That last part has already begun - Slumbering Skink are leaving div II at long last)

Also: the Pigs are the first team since the Plympton Predators (who won promotion in season 11) to come out of 2.1 and not avoid relegating the following season in TD. Super Sleuths, Melbourne Thunder, Damage Inc, Wide Bay Falcons, Yellow Flag, and Blacktown Behemoths all made it to at least 7th position. Way to break the cycle, team

It is a tough division nowadays. It will be a tough job for those 5th/6th/7th placed teams to stay next season.

I suggested earlier there is still a large gab between 4th and 5th. It looks decent after 18 rounds. And Kamikaze and Cats threw away a few wins also. So the gap could've been bigger. S20 will be closer for a few teams.

Of the newcomers, I think only one has a shot to stay looking at current rosters, Dilligaf. I still predict a decent gap between 4th and 5th, and 8th and 9th.

I reckon the Behemoths will be in the mix. I thought the Crushers would be also but seem to have fallen off a bit. And the trons are never to be underestimated either. I'd say Kamikaze will be right back in the hunt in S20 also. A few of us have a few holes to fill next season also - should be interesting to see how it all plays out.

And yes, Dilligaf looks to be the most likely to avoid auto-relegating - probably see Delcos Warriors up here for S21 as well.

I will be amazed if he manages to survive the season, let alone displace one of the top 7 teams. Financial trainwreck waiting to happen.

Indeed. Stadium is wowzers. And wages are high. But with no backups, one injury will mean loss.

Construction completed before an away game (edit: before the financial update too) and in time for the off season. That will have to hurt.

But he's found ways to dodge the debt collectors before. Can he do it this time?Last edited on 2015-08-18 at 15:24

That was only recent construction? That doesn't make sense coming into TD. Unless he is expecting to go 12-0 from his first 12 games.
