Evhen Milevsky today became only the 2nd player in TD history to throw for 17 TDs in a game. Whereas my side struggled to put 42 up vs a bot in division II...

MLB Mourish added another intercept against the Kamikazes. 6 in total for the season. Doubtful of any more additions due to playing bots for the final 2 games of the season. Makes 11 in total combines from my 3 starting LBs.

*Also looks like we will have another bot in a weeks time.

All-time, there are five guys (six including Mourish) with 6 INTs in a TD season. One more pick and he will be in a class of his own.

Definitely looks like a bot guaranteed a spot next season. Crushers will catch up, but the points difference is too great.

In the lower divs, Belconnen have booked their return for season 21. Taree and myself are the current frontrunners in the other divisions, but Delcos are now breathing heavily down the necks of the Hunters in 2.1

My math says that what I lose early in a season, I more than make up for later.

And if I make the AFLC then that's approx another 400k.

It's the "back yourself" approach. Winning makes it work.

When I played my number was 89 so there's a little superstition going on here too!

Crowd 80000 89000 difference
65000 $1,848,438 $1,792,978 -$55,460
75000 $2,132,813 $2,068,820 -$63,992
80k / 85k $2,275,000 $2,344,663 $69,663
Max $2,275,000 $2,455,000 $180,000

This compares an 80k stadium with an 89k

9 home games - have assumed 65k for 1st, 75k for 2nd, 80/85k for 3rd and packed after that.

89k comes out $1M in front. Doesn't include weather and does require a good start and season generally. Looks alright to me.

For anyone reading. This is why you don't overbuild.

With home league games of 65K, 68K, 82K, 76K, 80K, 81K, 78K and 83K. Note no maxes. Loosing -$352K total in 8 league home games. Only the 83K game has made more income than a 80K full stadium. So with another home game to come above 83K attendance, it is possible the loses will be down to -$325K at best due to seating dilution.

Got 4 AFLC games with 9000 extra seats x $20 ticket / 2 teams = +$360K.

At a cost of -$2.25M on 9000 extra seats, with a possible net income is +$35K, the net profit is -$2,215,000.

Looks alright to me. haha

I've been tempted to expand in the past, due to AFLC presence, but as my team strength has sort of stagnated recently and the league has become more competitive, I decided to stick to the 80k 'sweetspot'.

In hindsight, I'd probably still earn more if I keep getting AFLC, even with spotty league form, but with spotty league form comes the possibility of not hitting AFLC. I'm doing fine financially even with a total salary constantly in the top 10 of GI, so I'd rather not rock the boat.

Speaking of financials, I'm probably going to sacrifice that extra $25k of league prizemoney next week to get another round of BPOS training in (oh my, 5th place!). Worth the cost imo, especially with some of the positions I need. Plus, with the form reset each season, no point ending on a win in that department either (and winning isn't guaranteed against Behemoths).

I've always found 82K alright. But as above exampled, 89K seems too high. So the must be a sweetspot somewhere in the middle.

I snuck in some construction the past fortnight. Spent 100K on 4x100 per side seating. Saves $400K in maintenance. Only dodged 2 financial updates due to cup game. Filled a 82,800 stadium.

This Wednesday I will construct between the construction update and financial update with same 4x100 per side seats, and will dodge 3 finanical updates, ie $600K.

That is $1M extra in the back for a $200K spend this season. Will be up to 83,200 seats. Started at 82,400 before the 2 lots of construction.

Thought I do it now since I have AFLC games next season. And haven't done any construction in the past 4 seasons due to AFLC games previously.

The Jinx will have a nasty ILB in one season's time. They just dropped $5.9M on a rough ILB, needs a season to fix a few training errors. He will be worth it in the long term.

If he was a few seasons older there's no way I would have paid that for him, but he's so young. Tacticals and to a lesser extent stamina can be fixed this coming season. Was definitely on the edge of what I was willing to spend. Between Antonovs, Monfort, and this new guy, they have a whopping 119 points in speed and strength between the 3 of them, and can all play MLB, so the LB core is looking up. I just have to decide if I want to use Cleve as a 4th or as DL (he's 20 strength and green speed, but still a bit slow).

I'm in the midst of really reorganising a few things and am hoping to trim the wage bill by a bit to save even more next season (as I'm expecting a few raises).

I also picked up a new WR with a slightly odd build, but again, decent for his age. I would usually have more positioning (based entirely on past NT tenures using Jayden Schneider and him inexplicably doing his thing), but $281k was pretty good for an otherwise near copy of Mathis Girerd (who I will sell after a long 214+ weeks on my team). Not really groundbreaking WRs touching our short golden era due of Jacob Barratt and D. Bianco, but will still do a decent job with Chatres and then Rouine later.

Damn! I guess the Jinx will now be facing 18 darkwing offensive line-ups next season...

Edit: I just scouted the guy. What a beast!
