My predictions for the group stages:

Predicting these groups is very tough, especially 3rd & 4th as the teams are very even on paper. Out of the two third place sides that will miss out, I think they will be Albania and Iceland.

Alot of people saying England have an easy group, but I think the other three sides are capable of taking points off them. Slovakia were very good in qualifying and Russia have bags of talent. Wales will give everything to turn them over.

In Ireland's group, I'd expect Belgium to top it. Italy are missing some key players and could struggle it they get beaten in their first game against Belgium. There is very little between Ireland and Sweden, with the only thing separating the two being Ibrahimovich. He could make the difference.

Group B is a tough one to call. I think each team are capable of beating each other. As Emeraldfin said, picking 3rd & 4th is very tough but I had to pick someone. I think the 2 3rd placed teams to miss out will be Romania and Ukraine.

I think Ireland will just have enough for Sweden and will get into 3rd spot in that group with Italy topping it. Italy always do well in Big tournaments even when coming into the tournament with poor form or missing players.

A lot of teams have made some strange decisions and left some big players at home so it's hard to call an overall winner but I'll stick my neck out and say..............France.

Looking forward to the matches, I will keep it simple and take France

Not everyone, personally I think they will win their group, but I only posted my pick for champions. Germany likes to build momentum, so complacent start should bode well for them in terms of improvement potential
