For me the coverage has again been terrible. The commentary is morbidly obsessed with the nationality of the participants, and the footage shows just the athletes who have won or are expected to win, while 1001 life stories and heroes are ignored. It's almost as if the whole point of the Olympics has been discarded.

I've been watching some of the more obscure stuff on the red button - handball has been great.

I've tuned in a bit. Not sure if there is different coverage according to what country you live in, but the coverage I have seen from the US stations spends a fair amount of time covering participants from all over the world. In depth stories from Lidecky to the Tunisian beach volleyball team. More than the stories though, I like when the cameras and microphones get down and hear the athletes talking amongst their teams and also with other competitors. There really is the highest level of team spirit and respect for each other in these moments and captured usually much better than can be reported

I have been watching a fair amount and I can really get into supporting the USA athletes (as you can imagine since my GI team is 100% USA players). I was watching the cycling yesterday which was something I had never watched before and I was so tense watching the USA biker trying to hold off the 3 cyclists closing at the end as they worked together to draft and pull her in and it was agonizing to see her get passed so near the finish line and finish 4th. My mood changed last night when the US swim team won the relay with old man Phelps crushing in the 2nd leg of the swim. Good thing I had to go to work so I won't sit in front of the tv all day.

Great moment and of course watching Lidecky dominate so many great swimmers in the 400 freestyle, she won by over 5 seconds in setting a new world record. That is just insane 3:56 equates to under a minute per 100. Can't wait for the 800. Also watching the mens 100 breast stroke final, was just so awesome to see Peaty and Cody Miller celebrating after what they accomplished....Peaty with dominance and Miller with the new US record, they really swam with everything they had and each celebrated the moment and for each other

Well, iwould watch olympia all day long, but i have to go work, too. I missed cycling yesterday, because its a sport i´m not interisted in. But i like watching archery or floor gymnastics as its a sport you can´t watch on TV the other time.
I try to watch the whole games

They had one for the bus, but it was called a draw. That was probably poor planning to book them on the same bus
