It was more a rhetorical question, as I don't feel I should be, but my QB has probably been one of the few shining lights of the team.

Indeed, being a well ranked QBR NT does not mean that you are better than lower ranked teams. It only shows, at best, the offensive strength. Another issue is the "schedule strength": it is easier to achieve a high QBR against underperforming teams than against top squads, like Germany.

Beside that, we have to analyze the defense as well. As an example, my Brazil NT is the QBR top ranking. We have scored 39 TD so far, but we have conceded 33 TD. And I think all must agree that we are not expected to be WC title contenders.

Afterall, I am expecting better stats in the WC group stage, when we will have the top 16 NT fighting at the same high level. At this time, I suppose that QBR will be kind of relevant.

I am still trying to figure out a way to balance the rank based on "strength of schedule"... Maybe an improvement for the final stage of WC
