Anybody plays/used to play it?
I still have some questions about superstar mode and was wondering if there's a kind soul out there willing to help me.

You wont get answers to your question if you don't ask them.

Know what? That makes sense.

Ok, I still haven't figured out how do your superstar (a QB for me) gains rating/skills points. Is it during those endless practice sessions? Or is it during games? Maybe both? (I know my QB's accuracy has been increasing constantly, but not sure when/why).
Also, I don't think I know what are those THA/TGH (not sure about the letters here) points you are given during games and that you can assign to each of those...well...thingies.

I think you gain them after every season.

Well in madden i think its through training/practice and other off field things

i play NCAA 08/09 more than i do madden as madden just got old as you really play the same season over and over and over again

but when you first start out you should put your points into 1 or 2 areas then build on him or at least that what i did and a long while later into the "Hall of Fame" so to speak

in the College game its a but more fun cause you got training but you also got the tests which are a good change to things plus you can learn something or you can pick easy majors and you cant get a wrong answer but if you a superstar you will play in the bowl games or NT Game even if you get a 0 on the test

You gain most quickly during the training sessions when you run the drills, but you also gain during the off season proportional to your experience. There may be other ways, but those are the two I know about for sure. As for your other question, THA is throwing accuracy and THP (I think) is throwing power. I am not 100% sure but I think TGH may stand for toughness, and I don't know what it really does. Hope that helps .

Thanks for all the replies.
As for those letters (THA, THP, TGH), I mean the pair which is always there during games (at least for a QB) before each drive of your team. You get points to distribute amongst those 2 options as you perform. Or you lose points in case you screw up.
THA I'm 99% sure is there. As for the other, I THINK it's with a "G".
Anyway, I'll play again during the weekend and will try to get a screenie.

TGH would be toughness and the in game ratings are a way to boost your ratings in game. They can be for yourself or for the whole team. For example, I had one as a running back, and I got the role of I believe blocking back(could be wrong, haven't played it in forever). With this, I was able to use my points to raise the ratings of the O-line, the TE, and the FB's blocking, as well as my own. But, in the rookie role, I was only able to increase my own stamina and toughness.

For a QB, toughness would give you the ability to take shots and play through them, and the accuracy of course would raise your passing accuracy.

I think that's the case with my QB. Rookie is his only role so far (1st season). If self stamina and toughness increase is the only plus I get from that...well it pritty much sucks.
Guess my QB should just keep throwing his amazingly accurate passes and wait for the season to end. And they better give him the MVP trophy or there'll be some major coming from the Bills camp.

Another madden related question: am I the only one who simply can't kick? (playing with a keyboard)
