Another remark about the fumbles. So far it seems that fumlbes are always get recoverd by the offense AND always with a loss of yards. This would implement that fumbles only occur behind the line of scrimmage. That wouldn't be realistic either. Hope you guys can change this in the future.

Very good GitHyper, never thought about it but it's true

I think that fumbles happen only as a result of the first tackle attempt thus why they are always behind the line of scrimmage.

yeah but in reality if your WR fumbles there is a good chance he will be beyond the line of scrimage

Indeed.

But since when has this game been based on real football? There are currently many things that are different.

True, but these are little things that have to looked at by the developers to improve the game. Fumbles are part of the game and for now they are far from realistic.

I know, I am not disputing that.

I just hate all the "real football" statements.

I know Guru, but some level of realism should be strived for. if it's an entirely abstract sim, then why call it a sim at all . Otherwise you just end up with a game like that old electronic board that just rattled the peices until they went places.

Hahahah.

Yes, but it is not entirely based on real football. Admittedly, the fumbles should be - but other stuff isn't!

Hence, me constantly saying that comparing it to real life is somewhat, point less.

Judging by the frequency and location of the fumbles in each game, it would appear they are not caused by the other team.

I think that every fumble at this point in time is actually just a botched snap or handoff. I really don't have any real problem how it plays out in game since a drive with a fumble is usually a killed drive meaning there is some penalization.

However, it would be nice to know which attributes determine fumble percentage for a player. The best I've come up with is Strength and carrying.

that's an astute observation Squish, now that I think about it you are probably right.
