It's because you're the reigning TD champ, this years winner will probably be 2nd next year, unless they also win the cup.

This is going to sound conceited because I won it last season. But I believe we're coming to the point that it may be harder to win the TD than it is to win the cup. more consistent good teams you have to beat than in the cup. We'll see how it plays out though.

I agree. Probably the way it should be. At least next year we'll have 2 battle tested teams in the AFLC for sure.

But in any division, you can lose. And only 10 teams compete in the TD. Anyone can win in the cup, so I think the winner is the best. The TD is hard to win, but the cup leaves no margin for error.

Don't worry...I finished on top of my division (just barely) and am still ranked behind to of my former division mates. What really hurts is being ranked behind the OC Lakers!

I think its very much weighted towards cup results of last season, but I lost early to some pastry and didn't progress that far. :-(

It is weight towards cup completely.
