Give them time to fix their errors Squish, it's only the first season of a beta, and they've got a lot on their plate to make the game more marketable(translation) and more realistic(kicking game) plus people like you and I keep tossing things into the mix It's going to take some time yet,and if you look at their track record of reading and planning for player requests they actually are pretty good. I think they are up to 17 overall player suggestions that they are working on implementing. I'm holding out hope that this game, which at the core is a very good idea, pulls through and makes things right.

I don't have a problem with the game itself but rather the fact that the developers are doing more damage than good.

As for the suggestions that are being worked on, only 1 or 2 of them hold any value. Player numbers? Come on! There are more important things to fix and severe balance issues. They are following the same protocol as other beta games I've played. They are focusing time on fixing little things while completely ignoring the big problems. And it's not like we haven't put forth suggestions for the big fixes. We just get ignored. If you want player input then use it! Otherwise release the game b/c it doesn't qualify as beta without input being taken into account.
