Congratulation to TwoPint on winning the first GI NFL Friendly Cup I!!

In a dominate win of 49-17 he beat down the Fighting Turtles and left little doubt in who deserved the trophy!

An underdog story for the ages! Comes out of nowhere to get a playoff spot on Week 17, then wins as the road team in every round...what a story.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks Jesper.

THE GREAT TOP 8

1. Minnesota Xtreme:
The Xtreme at one point, didn’t look like they’d be participating in the playoffs. But, at other points, they have looked unbeatable. Minnesota dominated the playoffs winning all of their games in dominant fashion. The main reason for their success was of course, the cups best WR Jerald Morin. The Xtreme play a darkwing formation which gave Morin tons of chances to make plays, and he took advantage of the chances and led the league in basically all receiving stats. We all know that Morin was the face of the franchise, but he didn’t do it on his own. Oh no, their defense was the best in the cup in the playoffs, giving up less than 24 points each game since week 10.

2. Copenhagen Fighting Turtles:
The Turtles, like The Xtreme weren’t even in playoff talk at a point in the season. But once again like Xtreme, The Turtles stepped up their game in the playoffs, as they knocked off every team in the AFC. The main reason for the Turtles success in the playoffs was (like Minnesota) because of their outstanding defensive play. Their defense played great (except in the Super Bowl) only giving up 28 points in 2 games. Their offense wasn’t half bad either as they consistently played solid averaging 33 ppg in the playoffs.

3. Chicago Bears:
Overall, The Bears had a solid cup. They were put in a division with the champions Minnesota Xtreme, and still were able to get into the simi-final. But unfortunately they had to play The Xtreme and they’re just too good and Chicago’s Super Bowl chances were gone. Chicago’s defense wasn’t too good in the cup but their offense was definitely one of the strongest. But when you’re in the playoffs, you need both your offense and your defense too be at their best, if you want a chance to win.

4. Loaded Nachos:
The Nachos were a very solid team throughout this cup. They knocked off the team with the best record in the AFC (Western Winners) 2 times (once in the playoffs). The Nachos were 1 of the most dominant teams in the regular season as them and The Turtles absolutely dominated their division both ending up with a record of 12-4. But in the playoffs, they had a much tougher time, their offense was much too inconsistent; in some games their offense looked untouchable, but in others, it was disappointing. Same story with the defense, it played amazing at times, but at others looked awful

5. Düsseldorf Buccaneers:
The Bucs had the best record in all of the regular season going an amazing 16-0. But as we all know when you’re in the playoffs, your regular season records matter as much as your record from 5 seasons ago… The Buccaneers figured that out the hard way when they had to face eventual champs Minnesota Xtreme. Dusseldorf was The Xtreme’s biggest test in the playoffs, but couldn’t pull off the upset. For what it’s worth #5 is way too low for this talented squad as they were probably the 2nd best team in the entire cup.

6. Dice Rolling Suckers:
The Suckers had an awesome regular season going 14-2. But when it mattered most there play was… not so awesome. They lost there 1 game they had in the playoffs to the 3rd place Chicago Bears. The Suckers defense just didn’t show up in the playoffs as Chicago was able to put up 42 points. The defense of Dice Rolling was always a little inconsistent. But when their defense was
Sucking, their offense stepped up as it was dangerous throughout the entire cup. Infact, The Suckers put up over 21 points every game in the cup since week 1. Without the awesome offensive production from The Suckers, they’re not even a playoff team.

7. Western Winners:
The Winners’ offense had a lot of ups and downs this cup. Early on, they were a very solid passing team and everything was going smoothly. But then, the performance of their QB started dropping and they were losing games. So The Winners switched to a balance attack, and the level of play from their QB improved and they were winning games again. The balanced attack was very tough for most teams to handle, but Loaded Nachos (the team that knocked them out of the playoffs) was able to handle the balanced attack as they kept The Winners to under 20 points. I wonder if Western could’ve made the final if they would’ve played someone else?

8. Dice Rolling Suckers (Buffalo):
Dice Rolling Suckers played a great cup. They won one of the toughest divisions in The Cup (which they were trailing for most of the cup) and were able to make it into the 2nd round of the playoffs. The Suckers unfortunately had to play the Super Bowl Finalists Copenhagen Fighting Turtles in the 2nd round and were unable to keep the dream alive. But all in all I think The Suckers played a great cup and should be proud of their cup.
