OK, we checked the whole training procedure, even checking if there's something wrong if you switch it in a particular order and we found nothing. I would suggest the lowest training intensity for the next few weeks. If nothing changes after this weeks training then report it in the bug report section and we'll go from there

Why can players not recover fitness on all the days when they're sitting around doing nothing? They can recover from injuries in that time, so why not recover fitness?

That's how it works in every other management game I play. And the reason it works that way is because it's simple common sense.

I can accept my players losing some fitness when I train them on maximum intensity, but I can't accept them not recovering some fitness on all the days that they're not playing or training. I feel like I'm effectively being penalised for training my players, and it's just not right.

This is a serious issue that really needs looking into, IMO.

Because in the most games you train every day and not once a week like in this game.

You train once a week, players can recover once a week, makes sense to me

Not true. In Battrick, you train once a week. In From the Pavilion, you train once a week. In Trophy Manager, you train once a week. In Blackout Rugby, you train once a week. But in every single one of those games, players RECOVER fitness for every day that they're not training or playing games. So to me, it's just ludicrous that players in this game are not recovering fitness for every day that they're sitting around on their butts doing diddly-squat. I like most aspects of this game, but the situation with fitness is just plain stupid, not to mention unjust (because it penalises people who want to give their players as much training as possible), and really needs to be changed.

This isn't Battrick
This isn't From the pavillion
This isn't Trophy manager
This isn't Blackout rugby

This is Grid-Iron, and the admin and his crew chose this way of recovering, and I guess we'll just have to do with that!

Training once a week isn't realistic as well, but that's just how they made the game

Slow down there chief, just because it forces you to make a choice that may not lead to the highest training it doesn't make it unjust. It forces you to do just that, Make a choice. Am I going to screw over my team and risk injuries to get an extra couple of points of training? or am I going to slow down training to rehab my players so that they play at their highest potential. It's all about the choice you make there is no fairness nor lack thereof involved, just because you don't agree with the setup doesn't make it stupid, nor unfair.

Couldn't agree more on the sense of game comparison

The developers probably want to make training less effective.

There is an other management game I know, where the devs introduced fitness training that decreases the efficiency of skill training, because the market was flooded by fully trained super-players and prices dropped heavily leading to a market collapse.
