first here are 2 players i own
Player A
Positioning 7 , Tackling 6 , Punting 5
Vision 6 , Blocking 4 , Speed 13
Intelligence 9 , Passing 2 , Strength 13
Footwork 6 , Catching 4 , Agility 4
Carrying 7 , Kicking 5 , Stamina 7

Player B
Positioning 1 , Tackling 2 , Punting 3
Vision 4 , Blocking 1 , Speed 14
Intelligence 14 , Passing 2 , Strength 13
Footwork 3 , Catching 3 , Agility 5
Carrying 5 , Kicking 3 , Stamina 2

What i plan to do is play player A at FB and then player B at MLB
i have most of my best players on defense (the defense will be the center of my team) and player B has more talent. am i making the right choice?

Personally, NO! It should be the other way around in my opinion.

Player A is a much better Linebacker than Player B.

Player B is not great, but may be okay at Full Back. Admittedly he has terrible blocking skills, but we have no idea how much Blocking is needed by a Full Back. Sure, in real life, lots....But here is always different.

But then Player A would be great in numerous positions. Only thing going for Player B at Linebacker is his Intelligence.

and agility for lbs as well, but yes I agree whole heartedly with guru. FB is not a position that wins you games singlehandedly, LB definitely is.

Talent, at this early stage in the game, is absolutely useless.

It enables players to have higher skill sets in regards to Offence, Defence, Tactical and Kicking. Noone has even breached the 10/11 skill barriers yet...!

Ofcourse, if you want him to become a super-star, he can be. But not until another 3/4 seasons, which is when his Talent will be worth something.

it all depends on how long term you want to plan. If you plan on making this a 2-3 season run. Then I agree with Guru. Forget Talent let it ride on high teamwork and consistency. If you want to play the game for the long run keeping an eye on talent is a big priority. the higher a players talent to longer he can stay on your team as a usable prospect. Players with High talent will go for larger money in the long run on the market, on the flip side of this. I will almost guarantee that you can't keep a teamful of 5 star talents together when they are fully trained. the wages will react accordingly. Keep that in mind and you can make your own call on how important talent is for a given position.

I don't buy players with less than 4 stars talent.
I'm planning for the future

I was wondering were i should put this player.
Positioning 5 Tackling 3 Punting 7
Vision 5 Blocking 7 Speed 13
Intelligence 18 Passing 6 Strength 10
Footwork 5 Catching 7 Agility 3
Carrying 5 Kicking 5 Stamina 3
Teamwork 16 Consistency 15

He is also 16 so he is kinda my star player. First i put him as a HB but recently i have put him as a FB and this player as a HB.

SKILLS
Positioning 2 Tackling 2 Punting 4
Vision 1 Blocking 3 Speed 12
Intelligence 17 Passing 3 Strength 14
Footwork 4 Catching 2 Agility 6
Carrying 5 Kicking 3 Stamina 5
Teamwork 3 Consistency 18

Any suggestions to were you think they are best suited?

Sell the first one to me, and put the second one on the HB(lock)

First one can play everywhere on offense, if he has TE in his positions I suggest TE
