Greetings GI World!

I got the chance to sit down with the owner of the Tasmanian Devils who is currently running his own cup to ask him a few questions. Hope you all enjoy!

Mercutioh: Thanks a lot for your time I appreciate it!

Dioneanu:: nice to virtually meet you

Mercutioh: Nice to meet you as well.

Dioneanu:I just want to mention that I'm not an American football maniac...I may have seen 1-2 matches in my life)

Mercutioh: That's fine, it's really why I wanted to interview you

Dioneanu: But I am a fan of nice online sport managers

Mercutioh: So Dioneanu, you just stated you're not a huge American football fan. How do you attribute your rise in the ranks so quickly among your regions teams?

Dioneanu: First of all, I started to understand a game. Its a sport, so it should not be so complicated. I started simple with wikipedia, trying to figure out positions & tactics. After getting the american football basics, I read carefully the game rules and FAQ and using common sense and the nice topic that Will wrote about skills and positions, I developed a small excel file, with my countryman paopao and tried to improve my team according to that excel file I tried to maximize both offensive and defensive line, looking carefully on the market. So after changing lots of players on different positions, I managed to realize a quite balanced team. Still room for improvement, obviosuly..but I'm on the right track

Mercutioh: I'll say you are! 451 points has you landed firmly in the Number 2 slot in your region in the Balkan Rankings!

Dioneanu: Who is number 1? just curious)

Mercutioh: Patriote 441 points scored to 17 allowed

Dioneanu: ah, ok..didn't know about this team so far

Mercutioh: So you have spent a lot of time on the Transfer Lists purchasing players (including my own Rod Ormsby thank you) What do you look for in an offensive and Defensive lineman respectively?

Dioneanu: basically I look for some main skills per position plus big consistency for example QB I look for passing and inteligence, RB mostly carrying + good phisical
, blocking for offensive linesman, or tackling for all on defense. This is the first search criteria after that, some secondary skills and when I see a player that have at least 3 on all required skill, I just copy paste it in my excel and compare him with my existing players. If he is better, I try to buy it if he is much better..I am gonna pay a large amount of money for him

Mercutioh: Hahaha, understood! I almost went crazy for a 16 year old WR with 7 catching vision and agility, I think i stopped when the bidding hit 6 figures, Never drink and search the markets

Dioneanu: yes, 6 figures is too much in this moment Grid Iron is the second game I play from its beggining so I have quite a feeling of how prices grow up over time

Mercutioh: Speaking of the long term market as a player of multiple online management games do you think that there will be a healthy market for fully trained players down the road?

Dioneanu: To be honest, I think that it will not happen too soon Right now very few people have money to buy a coach, training is too slow without coach so I think in the next 3-4 season you will hardly see 1-2 players with lets say over 12-13 on their main skills maybe in 8-10 seasons, market will be full of good players but it depends a lot of the number of users who are gonna join GI

Mercutioh: I'd like to thank you again, I really appreciate it

Dioneanu: No problem

See you soon with what I predict to be the biggest interview yet!

Another nice interview.

It's good to see a difference of opinion on the forums.

Take care
