That made me laugh when the NFL guys kept talking about Benny Hill during the Saints/Chargers build up. Is that REALLY what the Americans associate with England?
You guys have probably watched more episodes of it than we ever did.. it's kind of like the English summarising America by showing footage from the Rockford Files! It's a naff 70's TV series that was pretty awful and nobody has talked about for years.. that's Benny Hill to us. He wasn't even our top comedian (and I use that title VERY loosely) or TV show when he was around.. 30 years later, he's a footnote in "Poor Britsh TV from the 70's".

Just remember, everytime American's use Benny Hill to describe the English.. we laugh at the ignorance. The same way you would if everytime you spoke to me, I called you Jim Rockford!
