I was hoping to deliver some righteous retribution on league game. Can't do it now.
The debt isn't lost though. I'll transfer it to any and every other Danish team I play against in cup.

There will be vengeance. There must be vengeance.

i pmed him as well mate, dont understand why he wouldnt just sack and sell everything and keep in the game? he would have had all season to rebuild with 3 bots already and stayed in the TD. strange decision! Seems its getting easier to make the TD, but harder to manage to balance your finances to stay in it. Shame, as i think the TD should have all human players. Seems a lot of big up and coming teams are going bot or selling a lot of players!! A good time to buy.

As my old persona(tingting) I posted in a different thread about the fact that prize money for the top divisions is unfairly low. As Team Zero I battled every year just to stay solvent & had to sell starting players every season or have fire sales to bring wages down, surviving in the TD mostly by the fact others went BOT.

To be competetive in the TD you need good quality players, these in turn have High wages. If you as a team have a big stadium when you get into the TD you stand a chance of keeping these players(I didn't), if you have a small to medium stadium, wages prevent you from expanding your stadium therefore you endup selling your best players.

Prize money for the winner of the TD is only appx 300,000 more than for a team winning for example a Div 5 team whereas wages could be anything like 500,000 - 1,000,000 PER WEEK higher. Yes I know some people will say if you give the TD teams better prize money that smaller teams will not have a chance to compete with them, Tough welcome to the real world - It will just take you longer to reach the top, they have higher wages to pay.

How can the Game engine itself help towards stopping teams going BOT?:

I'm open to suggestions

How about
1. as I have said Higher prize money for higher Divisions
2. being able to negotiate wages with the players instead of being forced to pay eg 100,000 per week for 1 player
3. ability to set your own ticket prices, if you charge too much fans will not come, higher ticket prices for higher Divisions
4. more revenue on match days from,eg. food sales, club shop. or the ability to set your own prices for the things you sell, as above if you charge too much people will not buy

Just a couple of ideas but things like that may prevent people from leaving the game or losing their team for financial reasons

Only problems with the money on this game are the low attendances at the start of the season and teams sitting in the lower end of the table results in small attendances. When you have a top flight team sitting in 10th place averaging 33k a week that will send teams into debt. Also this game has a system where the rich get richer with the AFCL and teams getting deep regional cup cup runs. The last two have a bit of luck to them but the fluctuation in attendance is the only real issue in my opinion.

I don't get peoples issue with the wages everyone has to deal with them and it's not like the admin has changed the rules they have all ways been the same. Its common sense if you have a small stadium and a high wage structure a franchise will go bankrupt. At the end of the season you know your players will get a salary boost in relation to their talent the wages theu will recieve are written down. It's pretty much the same as the NBA salary cap. There is no hard cap but if you go over a certain wage amount you need to make cuts. The only extra benefit top flight teams should attain is higher attendances. If you are building a team that is going to struggle financially make cuts then increase stadium size. It’s a management game people have to be realistically build their team rather than reaching for the top too soon and going bust

I agree, attendance should be the opposite of wot it is now and reflect your form from the end of the previous season. if a teams form drops over the season then the attendance should errode with it.

So surely if you get relegated wages should drop not increase, I defer to suggestion 2 negotiation of wages, just trying to make the game more interesting

I agree this game needs more variables to work with. Not sure if any player would take a pay cut because they got relegated. It doesn't happen with English soccer. When any premiership team goes down they still have overpaid players on the roster. Players won’t take the blame for a drop not at least if it comes from their own pocket.

Works the same in real life when a team can't afford their salary they shift the players off their roster. Allowing team chemistry to develop quicker would ease the problem of releasing players as the only fairer solution to the problem but teams shouldn't be able to hoard talent. The ability to hand out long term contract could help the game but it would seem to difficult to avoid abuse and rookies screwing themselves over by handing out terrible contracts.

Thats my point, more variables = more player interaction = more enjoyment. I'm not having a go at the game or the anyone associated with it, just thinking of suggestions to improve playability
