Allright, so "who had a better season so far" automatically means one has to beat high ranked teams in order climb up in the ranking (which is btw pretty close to "who has the better team", but of course not the same!).

That´s totally allright, it just does not coincidate with my perception of the phrase "who had a better season so far" which, like i pointed out before, should be more about ranking in the league and overall progress in the cup (which does not mean the strength of the opponent is unimportant, it is IMHO just overrated in the present calculations).

Actually...that depends on how the factor is implemented ...since the ranking is dominated by Div I and II teams and this factor would be not significant until the (i don´t know lets say) 16finals. I don´t think it would be that much work in the course of the season (the last 32 teams are probably mostly Div I and II teams)...i don´t think you would have to track (much) more teams...but anyway

AG, I totally understand that argument and you don´t have to change anything...i am fine with the ranking like it is.
I simply don´t think the ranking totally reflects the way one usually understands the phrase "who had a better season so far"

The domination might be by Div I&II Teams...

...but the "all season long" tracking goes for Div I-III Teams and all Teams in the Cup.

For sure getting in the Final Cup 16 is a limited ammount of teams only - but if a team makes it there, it should have collected enough points to be in the rankings.

As i wrote in the first part: some do feel the Cup is overrated in the Ranking - low Division Teams are skyrocketing for a limited time when beating a high Div Opponent...

...you feel the Cup progress is underrated.

This Ranking is supposed to give some fun and also something to be proud of - and i dont think that it is an achievement when getting into the final cup rounds only by luck playing easy/low div teams all the time... well at least you have the ticket income as reward ;-)

...and believe me - there are teams out there this season been saved by the good cup run financially because of bad management in the past - so i dont feel "good" to reward them with extra points

Made it from 36th last Year to 17th this Year with a DIV I Win in the Cup, but still couldn't Win my DIV.
