Help represent Europe in the European vs American Cup!

BEFORE ANYONE FREAKS OUT -- I AM FROM CHINA. I WILL NOT BE IN THE CUP. I JUST THINK HOSTING SOMETHING LIKE THIS WOULD BE VERY FUN.

Hey guys!

So I've been thinking for the last couple of weeks that a Europe vs America cup would be a very fun cup to see play out. I thought of the way it could be done a few days ago, but decided I didn't want to start a topic like this because I am not currently living in either of these places (although I am American). However today I decided I'll give it a shot and hope that just because my team is from Asia doesn't mean I can't run a cup like this. There's my intro

Now, to how this cup is going to work. There will be two divisions. The American division and the European division. I'm hoping these two division can be relatively balanced out, but I decided that might be impossible. So, the maximum number of teams is 8 from each division. This will prevent Europe from having 12 teams, and America from having 6, and vice versa.

This means the maximum number of teams is 16. After the division are all set, it comes to round-robin time. Every American team will play every other American team during this time, and the same goes for Europe. That means each team will have 7 different games, all from their respective country.

After the round robin is finished, seedings for both division will be done. The top 4 teams from each division will make the Cup tournament, and play to become the champion. The bottom four teams in each division will play in the Plate tournament, and play for respect.

In the tournament is when we would see Europe and America clash. Not the round robin.

Hoping to start games Jan 23, but if I can't then we'll start the following monday, Jan 30.

Registation open for around a week, or until all slots are filled. First come first serve, with a waiting list.

What are you waiting for? REPRESENT EUROPE!

Just a hint...

...if, then it has to be something like "Europe vs. America #3"

Well not "Cups" as you have in your description...

...but more like "one big tournament" in the offseason with around 100 Teams participating

2 Teams playing home/away - then sum up the wins and see which region is the winner...

...also something similar like your proposal the NFL GI Cup

So only similar ones - yours could be seen as an original.

So good luck in organizing it - im not a fan of tournaments, since is not my style "to brag around"...

...well maybe its also more i dont like losing

This was the result of the first edition.

One off season there were matches CE - EE and NA-ASE

season after that it was CE-NA for the final

Overall result:

Won by CE: 92
Won by NA: 46
Broken by CE: 4
Broken by NA: 28
Broken by both: 14

Points for CE: 120
Points for NA: 50

The World Champion is Central Europe

That sounds interesting... would've been fun to be a part of.

Mine's a little bit different though, it's more for individual team efforts I suppose.

Just using Europe + USA as a way to make up the divisions, and whoever gets the better finishers "wins" i guess.

I´m honest... I don´t want do organise a new international tournament.

But I would join a int. tournament like this before again.

Not everyone has the chance to compete with div.I Teams from Asia, N./S. America or Australia.

Good luck today guys.
